Hotel Las Bovedas

The bedroom was attractive, spacious and very pleasant. It was a surprise as the hotel is situated at a service station and I had not expected such a nice one.

I think the hotel could offer staying guests an area for a drink or a bite to eat but the night we were there they were hosting a large wedding which took up all of the facilities and we had to go into Badejos to find a drink and some food.

rooms were modern and clean, free parking space, free internet, however not worth 4* , we did not find the staff very friendly either, if you're not wearing fancy clothes they look down on you because 'they work in a 4 * hotel'. minor issue: if you take too much water whilst showering, the build-up pressure gets too high and the shower head replaces, turning your bath room into a swimming pool.

major issue: the breakfast, which was really horrendous. If you stay there for only 1 night you don't have a clue but we stayed for much longer and saw the tactics they were applying. The food (the same meat and cheese laid there for several days, all 'sweaty and stinky'); when we arrived on saturday evening, there was a wedding reception planned under our window, the wedding cake with whipped cream was presented at breakfast until thursday (when we left the hotel). I tried to eat one of their boiled eggs, it was greenish inside en lost its natural colour. Unbelievable...We took pictures if people dont believe me, i'll send them with pleasure. If you book in this hotel, please do not take breakfast, it's dangerous for your health...

very clean, easy to find. Ideal for a 1 night stopover. Next to petrol station. Hotel restaurant very exspensive, cafe next door good.

Nice quality hotel next to a 24 hour hotel and restaurant so good if you arrive late like I did.

No tea or coffee making facilities in room, air conditioning slow to reduce room temperature on arrival.

Clean, comfortable rooms. The breakfast was good and location was convenient off the highway allowing us to break our travel from Lisbon to Avila.

Due to it's location you're at the mercy of the hotel or truck stop next door for dinner choices especially with a later arrival.
