What fun! We are an older, retired couple who travel for pleasure. The Perle was one of those little surprises that are the best part of our trips. We had the smaller of the two rooms, large by European standards, and a bathroom with a garden tub (How often does that happen on a budget?). Everything was spotless. The small shared lounge, downstairs in the in the bow, had a well-stocked honor bar and we sat outside at the little table on our private deck, drank Carlsberg, and watched the river traffic go by. Dinner was available in the beer gardens that lined the riverwalk to the old city, and there were plenty of high end places as well, within sight of the cathedral and loaded with atmosphere. Some travelers might find it inconvenient to walk the two blocks to the main hotel for breakfast. Also, there were a few hinges on outside doors and windows that needed maintenance.
Hotel confirmed our reservation two days before we arriwed, ewerything supposed to be ok. Then when we came to hotel, there was not electricity and running water. They said it would take several days to repair problems. They offered room from another hotel without good compensation to price.
