I liked that the hotel was conveniently close the from the main road into town. It was easy to get around to the nearby restaurants. We were looking forward to using the pool, but were told that it was "closed for the season". One would think New Mexico has year round swimming pool season.
The pool was closed which is a big deal when you have 2 young children in June. The woman in the lobby did give us some cheap and free suggestions on water activities for our kids. She was very understanding and did offer to cancel our reservations with no charge. The walls were pretty dirty but the beds were clean and comfortable.
