I like where is located easy to go out and have fun, breakfasts w staff was nice. Shower , when I was on the shower water wil be so cold or to hot everything else was ok
It's a great value downtown. It was close to the graduation of our daughter at the U de Erre. I have stayed here before on business and will definitely come back for my next trip to Monterrey. It's not a super luxury place, but a great place to stay in general. The breakfast is just fine and included. The breakfast dining room is a microbrewery restaurant in the evening. That's convenient!
Location We have atayed here bfore and breakfast was included however this time they advised us breakfast was bor included because we booked through kayak instead of dirrectly through them. This is the first i have ever heard of this rule.
The cleanliness of the rooms, food, security, and service.
The location of this hotel is wonderful. Many restaurants, bars, etc within easy walking distance. The service was not as good, check in was friendly, but when I was faced with an issue (needed to buy pesos on Good Friday) the staff was ill equipped to help me or even offer solutions. Room service was nice, but housekeeping rarely cleaned the room during our five night stay and seemed not very motivated to do a good job. Wifi was good, but you have to re-authenticate every day.
Very nice new hotel close to downtown area and major streets. Good restaurant and hotel located in a strip shopping center with several really great restaurants. Nice experience.
This is a great property if you are in the south side of Monterrey, it's located right smack in the middle of a shopping center with lots of restaurants. This hotel is walking distance from ITESM and if you have a helicopter you can land on the top floor, not kidding.
The hotel was a complete chaos.Getting an elevator to my floor was always an ordeal. The card key failed constantly and I could not communicate with any other family that was staying in the same hotel but on a differ floor. I had to dial front desk first.
The locations was great, had shopping that you can walk to and felt very safe.
Location , close to downtown The elevators don't work properly, and their card system the worst i have ever experience
This hotel is very convenient to the train station and fairly convenient to the city center (old market). It offers a mid-range type comfortable clean room (we went with a double with our own restroom) and includes a buffet breakfast (Polish style -- sandwich meats, etc).
For me the day starts with a good breakfast and their morning buffet is very good-not fancy but just a very good breakfast with a lot of choices. Beats the hell out of continental breakfasts that I usually experience when traveling. The staff at the front deck was top notch-very helpful with all my requests and questions. If you are with someone who enjoys shopping at a mall, the skyway takes you directly from the hotel to the mall and it appears to be upscale but I am not a shopper. No car needed for this and it's but a 10 minute walk over the highway. Because I speak not a word of Spanish, the front desk took care of all my taxi needs. I look forward to visiting Monterrey this December and will definately stay at this hotel again.
The common areas: The lobby, the halls, etc. I like the restaurants. The buffet is very enjoyable and has a terrific paella. Staff is very polite. (1) Cleaning and laundry: I was told twice that somebody would come by for my clothes. No one did. This also happened on a past trip.
The other reviewer got it right. I didnt listen. You could try the SAFI across the street but skip the Intercontinental and the NH. SAFI has a fantastic buffet breakfast and Id try that one the next time I go. It couldnt be any worse than spending 2 weeks in the Camino Real. PS: Absolutely nothing works right!
One of the hotel restaurants, Kyo, has a great asian fussion cousine menu. Front desk staff lost my reservation, they didnt help me to improve my new years eve experience by not offering me other services that i could pay them as combo, they charge every service separely, i dont recommend this hotel because the lack ofservice.
This is not a 4 star hotel. Maybe in a fifth world country. The hallways are uncomfortably hot. I doubt they use the air conditioning. It took three days and numerous calls to get an ice bucket with no lid and the size of a martini shaker. Carpeting is so inferior and poorly installed there are waves of air under foot-needs to be stretched. Checked in and waited 20 minutes for a manager because the desk clerk said are printed reservation was not what they had recieved from booking agent. They cannot DO ANYTHING without a manager who is never at the desk and is 'busy' elsewhere. Walls are paper thin-you could hear the TV next door. Poorly managed. One big ugly motel posing as a 4 star premise. WORST hotel experience in my life. No offers of compensation not gesture of goodwill. RUN to the Quinta Real across the street- they know property management. The Camino Real is run by robots who seek only the bottom line. Come to think of it the bottom is where they are at. Furnishings are retrea...
Stayed there for a night, it was really bad. The bathroom smelled and the staff do not have a clue what they are doing. It took them one hour to find my reservation. Stay away!!!
All the staff were so friendly and helpful.Really went out of normal courtesy. There was no resturent for food for the day, except breakfast.
Food was good. Bedroom was spacious. Location is decent. Air conditioning is absolutely terrible. This is the first hotel I've ever been to that has NO ice makers. You hvae to call the restaurant. Room smells bad.
Rude staff at check in, long line, terrible parking access, noisy, smelly room, AC subpar. So much that i will never stay here again and am telling others.
rooms are clean. the area is conveniently located close to major shopping centers. cable, wireless internet and parking is free. no complimentary toiletries. no complimentary breakfast!
The only good thing about this hotel is the location but other than that i wouldnt stay here again It is not the hotel that hotel that apears in the website this hotel is old and to pricey for what it is ee canceled our last night and went to a FIESTA INN beside this one and that one i definetly recomend
service atention and amability
rooms are nice bad exit to the main road
No one could speak English to help me with normal needs at desk or in the restaurant. The food was not good. Low quality food and not prepared well. Not practical to go out since travelling alone. I did not look forward to eating breakfast or supper.
the staff is very good, you get a free continental breakfast , nice pool, i realy like it ,if u are on a budget is great.
Location, staff, complementary breakfast & price No
