Too many gnats in our room
Loved setting and charm of older hotel in downtown La Jolla. Ease to the beach and beauty of surrounding are.
Bed was amazing, very roomy and great price. AC was a nice perk and the proximity to beach and shops was perfect. We went for a relaxing get away it surely delivered. Parking was more challenging and valet was expensive.
The view and the location was fantastic Cleanliness, food
The entire staff were all so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond when I forgot my wedding rings in the room the morning we left!!!!! Loved the accomodations, as did my 13 and 15 year old children. They really paid atttendion to every detail when they rennovated the units. My 13 year son even commented on the linens and matresses. Just a joy. Excellent location. Ocean on one side, beautiful La Jolla Village on the back side. Would definately go back.
Staff was amazing! Made sure my every need was filled! The room with the spa tub is amazing! Nothing, everything was awesome
The Inn was wonderful and the staff was amazing. Booking through this website was a very poor experience. The room was supposed to have an ocean view and was not as advertised on this website. Luckily after contacting the inn directly I was able to change our room. There was NO savings in price either to book through this website.
The grounds are gorgeous, the employees are exceedingly friendly and go above and beyond in every instance. They honestly seem to enjoy pleasing the customers, and even politely asked at check out if there was anything they could improve upon. Nothing. That was my response. I can say nothing negative about this inn. If you come away displeased, there simply is no pleasing you.
mattress have no mattress covers. no parking. rooms on lower floor are like jail cells. the rooms on upper deck are better, but outrageously priced. sketchy plumbing. in all, not a great experience.
The staff weee very friendly and helpful, location is awesome I realize that booking on things like kayak sometimes leaves you with "whatever's left"... but this was silly. I've booked bigger rooms for less money in Manhattan...I killed no less than 10 mosquitos in the room and two huge spiders. The tv never did work, there was some kind of dried white stuff across the length of the floor, which was filthy anyway. My feet were nlacknon the bottom within seconds of getting out of the shower. The shower... that's a whole other situation. It was a little tile box that was barely tall enough to stand up in. The showe head was at my shoulder blades. I am 6 feet tall. Tall, but not extraordinarily so. The water temperature options were scalding hot or ice cold and you don't get a say in what you get or when it's coming. Hopping in and out of the water every few seconds ust trying to wash your hair and body makes for a lengthy shower. There are no "do not disturb signs" and the lack of air conditioning means you sleep with the window open... which, living in Southern California, near the water, for years, I expect... butnits not so relaxing when the garbage men are emptying the dumpster at 6am or there are people PLAYING FLUTES in the courtyard till 2am. Just... go next door and spare yourself.
