The view was nice--especially at night. They had already shut off the air and did not tell me. The room was very hot since they had already shut the air off and the day I stayed there, it was in the 70s. This hotel is overated and not worth the money.
great location and view

The room, the view and the balcony were all excellent. Everything was updated and clean in the room. We enjoyed the free parking and wifi, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I did not like the breakfast. If I stayed there again, I would plan to eat breakfast out, which cuts down on the value of the hotel for me. Include a nice fruit selection, better coffee and half and half.
Quiet Couldn't adjust thermostat. Was a little too warm.
This is an older hotel that has been nicely updated- room was clean, bed comfortable, nice tub w/shower. The views of downtown Madison and the Ohio River Bridge are very nice. Free breakfast was quite adequate. Contrary to some customer reviews, not all of the rooms have balconies or a nice view and thus our bargain room, though clean and comfortable, did not have a balcony and its window overlooked the parking lot. Balcony rooms cost extra, and were all full.
Good shower with hot water. Very comfortable beds. Convenient to Main Street in Madison. Nice view of River and Madison. I booked a queen room online for a price. When I arrived, they didn't have that room and gave me an 'upgrade', but I had to pay $10 more.
Very friendly, considerate staff. Greeted me promptly upon arriving, answered questions about parking, and provided info on hotel amenities without being asked. Someone was always at the front desk or close by for questions. Loved the view from the room! Wifi wasn't always functional, but given the location of the hotel (in a hillside, in a valley), this may be unavoidable at times. Breakfast was ok, lacked significant protein sources and was heavy on carbs.
Right in downtown Madison and can walk to places in the town or just a short drive. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was a little too firm for me.
The hotel is located on a hill in Madison, IN. The bed was extremely comfortable! The hotel had a nice area for breakfast where you could look out on to the city. The room we stayed in was very, very small.
Location Hotel under massive renovations which were NOT communicated during the booking process. Hotel was under construction, unfinished and dirty. Beyond construction, my room was without a fridge. I'm extremely disappointed that I paid MORE money to stay here vs other hotels in the area that were likely nicer and more comfortable. I feel cheated paying what seemed to be FULL price for a hotel under construction.
I made my reservation through Kayak and called the hotel the day before to cancel my reservation but was told there was no reservation. The lady on the phone treated me like I was not smart enough to make a reservation. She questioned if I made it in Wisconsin instead of Madison Indiana. She never found it...I am guessing you show a record of the reservatio or I would not have gotten this survey. As it turns out I was able to stay at the Comfort Inn and I was told by several people that I was lucky I didn't stay at Super 8 Marty Howell-Res was for arrival on Sep 27th
I liked the location to the area, easy to get in and out of, and in a safe part of town. The price is right.
The location was easy to find Every lamp in the room had a burned out bulb, my room was located across from the laundry and ice machine so there was noise all night long and was awakened at 5 am by someone filling an entire cooler with ice and it was LOUD.
