great location and view
Very friendly, considerate staff. Greeted me promptly upon arriving, answered questions about parking, and provided info on hotel amenities without being asked. Someone was always at the front desk or close by for questions. Loved the view from the room! Wifi wasn't always functional, but given the location of the hotel (in a hillside, in a valley), this may be unavoidable at times. Breakfast was ok, lacked significant protein sources and was heavy on carbs.
Beautiful location I really like this location but this hotel is old and tired. Very dated room and there was no hot water for a shower in the morning. I have stayed here several times mainly for the location. With a little investment this could be an outstanding property.
This is an older hotel that has been nicely updated- room was clean, bed comfortable, nice tub w/shower. The views of downtown Madison and the Ohio River Bridge are very nice. Free breakfast was quite adequate. Contrary to some customer reviews, not all of the rooms have balconies or a nice view and thus our bargain room, though clean and comfortable, did not have a balcony and its window overlooked the parking lot. Balcony rooms cost extra, and were all full.
The balcony was fantastic, we loved the views of Madison, IN. Bedding was clean, white, and so comfortable! The flat screen TV got great reception. Breakfast, while not full fare, offered protein with boiled eggs and many other choices. The inner hallways lacked any interest and the colors were drab. Carpet in our room had seen better days. The wall between us and the neighboring room must have been paper-thin, we could hear every word they said...plus other noises best left unheard.
Site was amazing! no
Quiet Couldn't adjust thermostat. Was a little too warm.
The hotel is located on a hill in Madison, IN. The bed was extremely comfortable! The hotel had a nice area for breakfast where you could look out on to the city. The room we stayed in was very, very small.
Good shower with hot water. Very comfortable beds. Convenient to Main Street in Madison. Nice view of River and Madison. I booked a queen room online for a price. When I arrived, they didn't have that room and gave me an 'upgrade', but I had to pay $10 more.
Clean and updated No - great value
The view was nice--especially at night. They had already shut off the air and did not tell me. The room was very hot since they had already shut the air off and the day I stayed there, it was in the 70s. This hotel is overated and not worth the money.
Right in downtown Madison and can walk to places in the town or just a short drive. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was a little too firm for me.
Staff helpfullness. Handicap room bed smelled faintly of urine. Live roach on its back in bathroom. Room furniture was not comfortable, and it was soiled.
We arrived very late, and the lady was very nice. The room while it seemed clean, smelled very musty. The eggs at the buffet were great! It was nice that all the rooms had a fridge and a microwave. Just couldnt adjust to the smell in the room. Sprayed some Febreze that helped slightly. Otherwise everything was ok...
Great late breakfast! Bust best thing about the stay was hotel employee at the desk. Our fridge wasn't working and he went next door and hauled that room's working fridge into our room. Hotel employee went way above and beyond for us, and he cou No everything was great.
Personnel were all friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Quickly moved us into another room when we reported the A/C was not working. Good breakfast buffet food & excellent coffee. Quiet room. No noticeable traffic noise. Had to move coffee pot to bathroom electrical plug as the short cord would not reach any available plugs in main room. Occasionally, the room door did not self-close completely.
Indoor pool & wonderful hot breakfast. Elevator broke down but was not a deal breaker for us.
This hotel is better than any hotels in small Madison , Indiana town. None
The staff is excellent. Always helpful and cheerful. I paid for a room with a Jacuzzi; however the Jacuzzi didn't work. The controls had been removed from the tub. This isn't the first time this has happened.
The location is great for visiting Clifty Falls State Park and Kentucky Speedway. I did not realize my room was handicap accessible or that 'standard room' meant one king size bed.
We are a family of 4 and reserved a king suite with a sofabed for 2 nights while in town for a family wedding; there were no rooms available with 2 double/queen beds. Upon arriving, we found that the 'sofabed' only had a twin size mattress. Thankfully we were offered a rollaway bed, which would not physiclly fit in the room without blocking the doorway, so we had to move 2 pieces of furniture to accomodate it. The room was in poor condition: the carpet was dirty, there was obvious water damage along the wall adjacent to the bathroom, the caulking around the sinks needed to be replaced, there was a musty odor, the lights kept flickering, and aside from that the air conditioner worked only sporadically.....but worst of all, there were live cockroaches in the room. We found 3 of these unwelcome guests late a night after our kids were asleep. We checked out the following morning and were offered an apology and a $50 credit. We were very dissappointed with the hotel given the fact...

The staff was very helpful and kind. The breakfast was pretty good and there was plenty of it. The details for the hotel claim to have a lounge but there is none. Not much moving around room in the room.
I liked the location to the area, easy to get in and out of, and in a safe part of town. The price is right.
I made my reservation through Kayak and called the hotel the day before to cancel my reservation but was told there was no reservation. The lady on the phone treated me like I was not smart enough to make a reservation. She questioned if I made it in Wisconsin instead of Madison Indiana. She never found it...I am guessing you show a record of the reservatio or I would not have gotten this survey. As it turns out I was able to stay at the Comfort Inn and I was told by several people that I was lucky I didn't stay at Super 8 Marty Howell-Res was for arrival on Sep 27th
