Nice clean newer hotel! Like most hotels in Manila Area , they are starting to charge a premium like they are New York or Paris ect! It's still the Philippines but poeple are coming and paying these prices so I really can't blame them! I just don't see it, coming here the last 15yrs! the traffic is impossible, so plan on walking!

El personal es muy amable y siempre se aacordaba mi nombre. La ubicación es excelente para ir de compras, comer y hacer negocios. Gran buffet de desayuno.

Location Ascott could not locate my reservation even when given my confirmation number and booking agents number. Front desk did not know what to do, they wanted to charge me double my original paid reservation and credit my paid reservation when it came through.....WHAAAAAT! Very late and tired, no one offered to make it right, front desk seem to have attitude. I finally called Kayak and had them locate original reservation which was faxed to front desk. Front desk calls me to tell me they have fixed it and I clearly told them... I FIXED IT BY CALLING KAYAK...which is something they should've done in the first place!!!!!

The folks at the Ascott were super friendly, from the front door, to check in on the 6th floor, the restaurant was very good, staff attending to the room all were outstanding. Have been coming to PI for 10 years 20 plus trips. 1st stays were at New World, last 6 years have been at the Dusit...price/value was better in comparison than both of those hotels...we were in the old wing, rooms were spacious, we did check out the newly remodeled wing and it is newer for sure...the location next to Glorietta was great and only a 12 minute walk thru the mall to get to the Greenbelt Mall and theaters. We will be staying at the Ascott from now on. PS loved the pool area and the Jacuzzi There was nothing to complain about at all
The floors were extremely dirty. Always had to keep shoes on otherwise feet were black on bottoms. We were even in the penthouse suite where you would think they take more care.

The service and security level provided by the Ascott's was excellent and to 5 stars international standards. Honesty and responsiveness of front desk personnel is commendable. Bathroom furnishing needs to be enhanced in order to improve averall staying experince.
The space of the apartment was excelent... Front desk friendlyness might need to be improved.
Top things about this hotel in order: Location (you cant find any better), Staff, The Bed, Bathroom, Minibar, Spa, The Cityview, and Security. The rates are too exaggerated, You can find other much cheaper hotels with similar qualities, nothing very special about it for such a price

the hotel is good for a traveller who like to enjoy nightlife and is very good location(shooping mall)-power plant,greenbelt,global city by using taxi cozt u abt (80peso-15peso) depend on traffic...is not good recomment for family to stay this hotel. the TV and the bed is old....

Location good, very close to Makati Avenue Breakfast too much Filipino, nothing suitable for international. When you check-in, they ask you to sign the in-print for guarantee, which is never done in other countries. And when you check-out, they ask you if you had something from the minibar, and after your negative answer, they tell you to sit down and wait until they receive the answer from the floor if you said the truth or if you're trying to cheat them. I told them that this is very impolite and that they should process the check-out immediately, because the reception can receive the result of the room-check in the meantime the check-out is being processed. But they seem not to understand.

The hotel was nice and everything was practical, very business like. Much more my style than the Mandarin Oriental.
This is the best hotel in the area if price and location are your priorities. It is built next to the new part of Glorietta. Elevators are slower than comparable hotel elevators in the area.
the location is good , easy to get most local foods , just 5 - 10 mins by taxi to shopping mall , its comfortable to stay in Berjaya Hotel Manila. no wifi in the room
Some of facilities looking very tired - but upgrading taking place since change of ownership.Still some quality control issues particularly with plumbing and supply of hot water. slowness of lifts
WiFi only in the Lobby / Restaurant, in the room one adventurous looking lan cable, but also working. Connection is not very stable. Staff is friendly but sometimes does not see things and needs of the guest on its own. The roomservice and housekeeping is quick amd good. The room itself could use a refreshing of the interior. Bath floods itself by design if you take a shower ;-), but there is a rinse in the ground. The pool is there bit not so nice and inviting.
Stayed in refurbished room on 21st floor. Big improvement over rooms have used on lower floors. free Wifi is hassle free, and room facilities good. Plumbing fixtures in bathroom needed attention. Low water pressure and availability Hot Water can be problem at times. Only 1 lift out of 3 working due maintenance and upgrade took time.Check-out process slow due housekeeping have to check minibar before check-out can begin - allow time for process.
Centrally located for everything g I wanted to do in manila The hotel ran out of shower towels at times. Had to wait until after midnight for towels.
All staff members are cordial; only problem is they take dollars equivalent as per their own arbitrary conversion rates; for ex-they demanded 50 pesos per U S ,dollar where as actual rate was 43 pesos that day; after quarrel and talk with manager they took actual dollars which I offered as per Booking.com reservation nothing

The hotel staff FAR exceeded my expectations...as good or better than any five star resort. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! Loved the rooftop pool and gym in penthouse. We stayed for 9 days, left for a few days, then happily returned to City Garden :) Having to leave....
