The location not far from Ginza and the metro station Shimbashi/Ginza is useful. There isn't a gym. And the Internet isn't a wifi but cable. I carry an iPhone which is useless without a wifi. Breakfast selection should be changed daily.
The design is lovely and the location can't be beat. The hotel is high up and it is great to look down on Tokyo. The pillows were uncomfortable which took away a little bit of ease of sleep.
Staff were extremely helpful and courteous. None.
The view from the room was beautiful, I loved the bathroom window which could be made seeing through, so you could enjoy the view from the shower. No complaint, very satisfied.
Great location very close to main shopping area in Ginza. Room on the small side.
The views from our room were good, it was nice and clean. I thought for a hotel of this standard the staff would be able to understand English a bit more, not very well situated for shopping more of a business hotel. No english Tea,
The room was small but clean and well-appointed. I don't know about the necessity of including a pants press and a dehumidifier in a room barely big enough for two people and a bed but I'm sure they know their own audience. Breakfast was simple Japanese standard. Staff was very good and attentive.
The room was clean and there are complimentary amenities in the room and also offered in the lobby. There was a faint odour emanating from the toilet. It was quite a distance from Tokyo Station.
cleanliness No kids are accepted with adults at the room booked
very clean the check out time
The highlights of Daiwa Roynet were definitely the bathroom and breakfast. The buffet wasn't free, but it was worth it. A wide selection of great food, including smoothies! It was an awesome way to kickstart our day. The room was small, but comfortable, excluding the massage chair, which was curved in such a way that my back couldn't fit into it. The bathroom, on the other hand, was by far the best of the six hotels we've stayed in so far this trip.
VERY close to subway station that will switch from subway/train (No change of train) to get you to/from NRT for about $12. (as long as you don't pick rush hours there is plenty of room for you to hold your luggage near you). Not in a prime area of town so you will have to walk min 1-2miles or hop on a subway to get somewhere more popular. Nice area though, quiet and easy to get around. I stayed in Shinjuku the first few nights and loved the walk-ability. Then I did about 5 days of traveling Japan. I chose this hotel on my way back because of the price and access to stations. I was nervous about getting back to NRT. You can quickly get to the train station for the express train, but planned right, it doesnt take much longer to take the one right outside of the hotel. The rooms are tiny, but I knew that going in. Considering I had no intention of spending much time in the room I wasn't too concerned. The pillows are VERY flat, it would be nice if they would throw in a secondary option. The only thing Im not a big fan of with the APA hotels is that once you leave your room (and take the card out of the slot) the lights and electricity turn off. This means that you cannot leave devices charging when you are outside of your room. There are also very few electrical outlets available in general.. so if you want to dry your hair while charging items you may have to swap them out.
Incredibly energy efficient (no waste here!) while at the same time beaitiful and professional. Everything felt solid, well-built and well designed. No waste here - you will find no lush common areas or anything extravagant. But what it does, it does extremely well: we slept like kings, had luxuriant long showers, amenities were perfect, front desk was helpful and attentive, breakfast was delicious and the coffee was awesome. Perfect to use as a crash pad while touring Japan! They could improve their room service options. Also, while I understand the target market is mainly locals, they should aim to hire staff with a bit more foreign language proficiency. This would be fair - people who go through the trouble of learning a foreign language should be rewarded with a good job at APA.
Me dio claustrofobia.
The location to Tokyo station was great! Only took less than 10 minutes to walk there without problems... The room was very small... unlike American hotels and the pillows and mattresses are not comfortable but we found this to be true at all the hotels we stayed at. Otherwise we were very pleased with our choice!
For the money you pay, this hotel gets you the best location and the best location and the best location. Everything Ginza can offer is within walking distance from this hotel. Close to all sort of transportations. Very good for business. It's less desirable if you have kids traveling together due to limited some of the hotel room. Famous ramen 一風堂 is right across the street. Small hotel room really makes all the facility become less comfortable when using. So if you have kids, it's going to be a bit challenging. Counter staffs are not all good enough on English. So get back in couple hours if you don't like the staff you encounter.
