Ventajas: Small but nice room with lovely terrace overlooking the ocean. Not far from cafes and restaurants, quite a few closed in December but it's close to the elevator that goes up to town (or it's not far to walk). Liked the fact there was kettle and fridge in the room. Worth spending a little extra to get the terrace and view. Really enjoyed our stay.
Desventajas: The 1st night I found the pillow way too hard...found a softer one in the cupboard though. They didn't replenish toiletries so had to use our own soap. Safe was broken.

Ventajas: A small, perfect retreat from the busy town of Torremolinos. It’s quiet, relaxing vibes made it ideal to chill. The room was spacious with a king size bed and a delightful little private courtyard . Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. I would definitely recommend this haven and would return without hesitation.

Ventajas: The staffs were great , very friendly and super attentive to the needs of their guest . The breakfast was good and everything on it was fresh . During our stay there was an issue with the room next door . The night clerk was on it immediately to find us a solution , making calls, running to check other empty rooms and gave us an other room so quickly . He was great , fast and very efficient to resolve the issue and did it all with a smile. the area is close to the beach and beach promenade with lots of restaurants but still in a very quiet area.
Desventajas: nothing everything was great

Ventajas: El personal de recepción, desde que llegamos tarde por la noche y fueron tan amables de servirnos bebidas fuera de hora, hasta por la mañana, nos dieron todo lo que necesitamos. La habitación cuenta con extras que no esperábamos, como nevera, calentador de agua y microondas, que viene muy bien con niños pequeños.

Desventajas: Desayuno. Muy pobre. El que seamos pocos huéspedes en el lugar no debería desmerecer el desayuno. Conozco este lugar, y es la primera vez que contesto algo negativo sobre él.

Ventajas: Lovely small hotel presented with great care & thought. We loved the size of the bedroom and the cool marble floors as well as the comfortable bed and outside balcony. Everywhere was clean and cared for. There was an atmosphere of calm and peacefulness which added to our relaxing break. The breakfast was great - with a choice of dining either indoors, in the garden or by the splash pool. We felt “looked after” during our stay which was lovely. We hope to return!
Desventajas: The only thing that we were not so keen on was the hilly walk to and from the beach ! We reminded ourselves that if we were closer to the heart of the resort then the peacefulness of the hotel could be the price to pay and it’s only 10 minutes after all before we were on the gorgeous sandy beach!

Ventajas: El desayuno excelente. La relación calidad/precio muy buena. La piscina pequeña pero muy agradable, pero sobretodo la calidad humana de todo el personal, todos muy amables y con ganas de agradar, hacen que te sientas cómo en tu propia casa. Se dió la triste circunstancia de la muerte de una persona muy querida para nosotros,. al enterarse que teníamos que salir temprano y hacer un viaje largo, el director Oscar nos facilitó la entrada al comedor antes de la hora prevista y nos demostró cercania y comprensión.Por todo ello queremos hacer patente nuestro agradecimiento. Si volvemos por Torremolinos tenemos seguro cual será nuestro hotel de elección.

Desventajas: Que me toco el lado que da a los restaurantes y bares de los turistas ingleses,,,y son bastante ruidosos, tienes que echar la persiana cerrar bien las puertas de la terraza y poner el aire para no escucharlos.

Ventajas: Roof terrace was excellent., The friendly less and helpfulness of the staff could not be faulted. The location of the property in order to enjoy the local restaurants was ideal, without it being too noisy at night. Also liked the adults only.
Desventajas: The roof terrace is great as it gets sun all day. There are 2 showers up there but no toilet. The pool is in the shade for a large part of the day and the terrace that does get the sun the most is a seating area. Our room was comfortable but had little storage for a 2 week stay, only 4 coat hangers between us, we ended up buying some. There were no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms, something which would have been preferable to the VR headset!

Ventajas: Staff was very helpful. Javier and also his colleague, the woman with dark hair and horn-rim glasses (sorry I forgot her name!), were especially helpful. Location could not be better, less than 5 minutes from a great part of the beach.
Desventajas: Infrastructure could use some care. The lock on our room was very sticky (and had apparently been reported before), the hanging rack in our room was broken, etc. Apparently the hotel offers partnerships for tours, but the book was missing from our room, and the only available copy that the staff could find was online and in Spanish - not a deal-breaker, just, again, illustrating that some details were missing. Breakfast was weaker than I've been used to in Spain. Examples: the eggs were typically only fried and looked like they'd been prepared far in advance (rubbery/congealed fat), and the fresh fruits and vegetables were not ripe and/or appeared long exposed to air. But a reservation without breakfast would make perfect sense - there are a dozen cafes open for breakfast within less than 5 minutes walk. The room felt small for the price point, but in my opinion this was more than compensated for by the location. Would have been nice if some space was available to do work in the room and/or reception/public space, wasn't really room anywhere to set up a laptop comfortably, but hopefully I am in the minority as someone still obliged to do some work on holiday...

Desventajas: Me esperaba una habitación más grande, ya que elegí la superior. la habitación había mucho olor a tabaco. No es culpa del hotel que las personas no cumplan con las normas, ya que está prohibido fumar, pero en recepción podían haber dado otra opción que pulverizar un ambientador. He de decir, que al día siguiente olía algo menos. También destacar que la ducha no tenía mucha presión

Ventajas: Cercanía a la zona de restaurantes de La Carihuela.
Desventajas: Ya que el parking no estaba incluido, y lo cobran aparte a precio de oro, incluso teniendo que depositar una fianza en efectivo para que te entreguen el mando a distancia, al menos la puerta del garaje se debería abrir sola, y no tener que bajarte del coche para abrirla empujando uno mismo.

Desventajas: Habitación muy calurosa y no era verano. Sólo hay un ascensor. Se notaban los muebles en el colchón.

Ventajas: Beautiful small hotel, the marbel floors throughout the hotel were very special and a beautiful colour. Good facilities and everything immaculately clean.
Desventajas: Our stay was in November therefore the weather was a little chilly and many shops and bars were closed for the season. We intended to use the hotel as a base and travel however there wasn't any public transport available to travel to Malaga.We found the taxis expensive travelling to the local train station.

Ventajas: Disfruté de la vista al mar desde nuestra habitación. La habitación estaba limpia y tenía lo que cabe esperar de una habitación de hotel europeo.
Desventajas: No como en el desayuno, pero me gusta tomar una taza o dos de café por la mañana. Me decepcionó que no había cafetera en la habitación. Cuando me fui del bar, no pude tomar un café para llevar, tenía que tomarlo allí.

Ventajas: We have been now 5 times and the facilities such as the gym and roof terrace are excellent. There is plenty of choice with the breakfast and evening meal buffets to suit every taste. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Ventajas: When we checked out, we left a bag in the garage. There’s some very important items inside. When we stopped at Nerja, we found the bag missing and called the reception. We are fortune they found the bag and stored it at reception. I drove back and got it. Thank you so much for all your kind assistances！

Ventajas: Everything else was wonderful-from our welcome by Miguel who made us feel like VIPs, to the best hotel breakfast we have experienced, very comfortable beds, brilliant power shower and everywhere spotlessly clean. We were celebrating a joint birthday and we had a bottle of complementary fizz delivered to the room. Should be 5*!!
Desventajas: I thought when booking that the hot tub and indoor pool would be free for our wintertime visit but it was an extra €20 each and extra for swim hats. Our balcony didn't get the sun at all so if/when we return I would ask for the other side.

He estado en hoteles mucho más caros, con desayunos de mucha peor calidad y variedad. La habitación era amplia y estaba impoluta, aunque los muebles eran un poco viejos. El baño, sin embargo, había sido renovado recientemente y era muy moderno. La ducha tenía mucha potencia, lo cual es estupendo si vienes de la playa; de hecho, nunca había visto una ducha con tanta fuerza! El hotel tiene piscina, aunque es muy pequeña, y un bar en el que sirven cocktails, pizzas, sándwiches, etc. Está muy bien comunicado con servicio público ya que la parada de autobús a Málaga directo está al lado del hotel, y hay autobuses cada 20 minutos. Y el tren de cercanías está a 15 minutos andando, aunque hay que subir cuesta. El personal fue muy amable. Y el precio pagado fue muy razonable!
Desventajas: La decoración de la habitación era bastante básica y antigua, con muebles de madera oscura. El baño, sin embargo, había sido renovado hace poco y se veía mucho más moderno. La piscina, como he comentado, es muy pequeña, parece más una bañera grande. A pesar de estar acabando la temporada (por lo que supongo que el hotel no estaría completo), me dieron una habitación al lado del ascensor. Tuve suerte porque, aunque hacía mucho ruido, nadie lo cogió a altas horas de la madrugada y pude dormir perfectamente. Al lado del hotel hay un club de swingers con bastante mala pinta. No es nada que dependa del hotel, y para algunas personas será un punto positivo, pero cuanto menos llama la atención.

Ventajas: Aparte de la atención impecable y muy profesional que ofrece el personal con su trato amable y competente, las instalaciones recientemente reformadas hacen disfrutar de cualquier estancia por corta que sea. La proximidad a la playa y al aeropuerto es otra baza del hotel.

Ventajas: You have everything you need for a relaxing stay. The sea is a 4 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff of the restaurant and the bar were really nice and the girl in the spa as well. El desayuno excepcional. El personal correcto, pero no atento, aunque sí correcto para puntualizar.
Desventajas: La habitación aunque confortable, me la dieron por desgracia en el último pasillo del último corredor casi pertenecía al municipio de Benalmádena. El personal es correcto pero no atento.

Ventajas: The hotel is great situated on a peaceful street but near the beach. The staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is abundant with choices, and so was the dinner buffet also. Taxi stand is in front of the hotel, so it very easy to hop in for example for the airport.
Desventajas: The room was a little bit gloomy but it was ok because we only spent two nights in there. We were here once before and then we had a great room with balcony and space, so it depends on the type of the room you choose. The smell from drain was a little bit disturbing but it was fixed by running some water.

Ventajas: The staffs were great , very friendly and super attentive to the needs of their guest . The breakfast was good and everything on it was fresh . During our stay there was an issue with the room next door . The night clerk was on it immediately to find us a solution , making calls, running to check other empty rooms and gave us an other room so quickly . He was great , fast and very efficient to resolve the issue and did it all with a smile. the area is close to the beach and beach promenade with lots of restaurants but still in a very quiet area.

Ventajas: Lovely small hotel presented with great care & thought. We loved the size of the bedroom and the cool marble floors as well as the comfortable bed and outside balcony. Everywhere was clean and cared for. There was an atmosphere of calm and peacefulness which added to our relaxing break. The breakfast was great - with a choice of dining either indoors, in the garden or by the splash pool. We felt “looked after” during our stay which was lovely. We hope to return!
Desventajas: The only thing that we were not so keen on was the hilly walk to and from the beach ! We reminded ourselves that if we were closer to the heart of the resort then the peacefulness of the hotel could be the price to pay and it’s only 10 minutes after all before we were on the gorgeous sandy beach!

Ventajas: Joanne the manager was very helpful and welcoming, and gave us the information that we needed on check in. The apartments are very modern and have recently been refurbished. We had everything we needed. The property also has a self service laundry at 3 euros a large wash (detergent provided). The train is literally around the corner with links to Malaga and fuengirola and we used this regularly rather than paying for taxis which we found quite expensive even for short trips. The beds in the apartments are comfortable including the sofa bed. WiFi was excellent throughout our stay. We will definitely return. *Handy Tip* visit ‘Deal’s’ outside Torremelinos train station (our Poundland) they stock many English products, food and toiletries at very cheap prices. We did not use the pool and the restaurant we expected to be closed for the winter season so we can’t comment on these.
Desventajas: We liked most things about the apartment. There weren’t really many English tv channels available but I believe this is soon to be rectified reading previous reviews. Until then I recommend taking a streaming device like a fire stick or a now tv box. This is what we did and it connected to the tv and the WiFi no problem and enabled us to watch live now tv channels and Netflix etc.

Cuando hablé con la recepción por la mañana, después de tratarme como si estuviera loca,yo misma localicé de dónde venía y me cambiaron a otra, donde me aseguraron que tendría ruido todo el día, de los extractores de las cocinas,pero no de noche, cosa que no se cumplió y de nuevo otra noche sin dormir...para volverte loca, pero de verdad!! La tercera y última noche ya fui por sexta vez a quejarme y cortaron el ruido... Ha sido alucinante, cuando había otras habitaciones que me podían haber dado!! En mi vida me ha pasado ésto en un hotel!! No volveré desde luego...

Ventajas: We have stayed at the Amaragua several times and it is always just perfect. The staff (mostly) are helpful and friendly and the hotel location is superb. Breakfast is excellent with a massive selection of items. It has gone up a lot in price since we first stayed so that would be my only complaint.
Desventajas: Some of the reception staff (not all) are not very friendly or helpful. A smile would go a long way!

Ventajas: this is a well run comfortable hotel. The food is excellent, both breakfast and dinner and the staff are friendly and helpful. Evening entertainment is reasonable sometimes very good. The room we had was ample for size and we always felt at home there Quiet environment for sleeping. Seemed well worth paying extra for a pool view room as they have a good size balcony and are on the sunny side. A high floor is also desirable in the winter months as this maximises hours of sunshine. Lower floor rooms get blocked out by adjacent buildings..Overall good value.
Desventajas: The area for sun beds is a little way from the pool and on grass. We thought this arrangement wasnt the best. Also loses sun mid afternoon.

Ventajas: We had a good sized bedroom with a pool/beach view Only stayed on a Bed and breakfast board and it was good Our room was a good size with plenty storage fridge and tv Cooler in the evenings in November but our room was cozy with the heating on. Nice cheery staff especially Abraham.

Ventajas: La Barracuda has an excellent location on the promenade. Room was nice and clean with a surprisingly big bathroom. Lots of English channels on TV. Plenty for breakfast including hot and cold food.

Ventajas: The hotel has a love public area. The breakfast was very good. And the staff can not be nicer. They all made your stay special.
Desventajas: The hotel is supposed to be 4 star but the room we had would not make 2 star. Very old fashioned. We have highlighted to the hotel itself certain points of possible improvement.

Ventajas: The Tropicana is in a very good location and the hotel is kept extremely clean. The beds are comfortable and do try to get a room with a balcony that has a sea view. The staff are very helpful. It represents good value for money as long as you can accept the dated appearance.
Desventajas: The rooms are dated but are kept extremely clean. The hotel pool is in the shade and hence is not used much in the late season. There is very little entertainment, but you can use its sister hotel next door which is more modern and has nightly entertainment.
