Ocean Palace Beach Resort & Bungalows

The servers that work around the pool are excellent. If you want to stay with drink in hand I suggest you get very friendly with one of them. They will make sure you get to enjoy your all inclusive drink package, oh and they actually serve you. It's the only service this place has. Unlimited Heineken, Stella, Budweiser, Coca Cola, Coca Cola 0, and water. The breakfast has a la carte tapioca and eggs/omletes. The filet mignon at the French place was good. The poolside food is probably some of the best on the resort. You can see it coming out hot and fresh and theres enough of what you want. They do a good job of mixing it up every other day. The server working in their can and is willing to fetch you drinks and or condiments etc. Oh and theres self serve ice cream! The gym is comprehensive. You can definitely continue your routine in there. It has a smith machine, leg press, and one free bar with plenty of weights to throw on it. 8 treadmill or more and 1 bike. Plenty of machines like 10 I think. It has two cable intensive universal with pull up bar in the middle and plenty of attachments. There is space to put a mat down and do abs and there is plenty of mirrors and free weights. I went with my wife who is pregnant no kids. But this place looked like a kids heaven. The staff looked very involved with the kids and they definitely have plenty of stuff for them to do. The poolside activities were entertaining and enjoyable and that team works their butt off, hats off to them. The views are excellent. The bungalow I had was literally in front of the beach, it was amazing, only experience can really capture how nice the view was.

Most everything at this all inclusive resort besides pool drinks is self service. I personally don't think you should advertise all inclusive resort without specifically stating all inclusive self service resort. If you are a couple and looking for relaxation this isnt your place. Kids everywhere, no restrictions whatsoever it would have been nice to know that before booking. French Restaurant had a 2 or 3 day wait. It is assumed that they make the guest reserve in advance to handle the amount of plates accordingly with enough staff. Well, all I can say is that in about 45 minutes to an hour we got 1 cup of wine. Asked for 1 coca cola, then had to interrupt the server to ask for a second coca cola and all in all after reminding him my wife was able to have a second coca cola after waiting about 15 minutes. The food was never hotter than warm. My wife's main entre was cold she got the seafood option. My steak was good and warm, not hot, but the sweet potato was cold. All in all if you wait 3 days to eat somewhere and the service is horrible, and the food is cold to Luke warm, I can say it wasnt worth it. We finished our plates and no one came over to pick them up in about 10 minutes and at that point we decided to go to the buffet for dessert. Utterly disappointing that the hotel makes a big deal out of this restaurant and they dont staff it with enough people or they dont have the right staff. They charge for parking which is bs. You cannot walk to this place it's not close to anything. Nonetheless its pricey for no valet and no cover. You pay to park your own car far as hell away from your room and in the hot sun and like I said it isnt cheap, I wish I knew that before booking. Beach has 0 service other than someone pointing to a free umbrella and or chairs. Other than that, at the all inclusive "resort" you have to again self service your drinks, food is out of the question way to far for all that.
