Quinta Dos Perfumes

Secluded location but beach and restaurants within the walking distance (although it's a rather long walk, ca. 2,5 km). Lots of space, not many people. Very nice personnel. Overall a very aesthetic place.

The country/farm experience

Es un lugar fantástico. Una finca de naranjos espectacular. Un desayuno fabuloso. El personal es estupendo. Todo.

Estaría bien una zona solo adultos en la piscina.

The Quinta is wonderful, the guests can enjoy various spaces (pool, rooftop, garden with comfortable beds, small patios for the ground floor rooms, the dinning and living area in the main building) where it feels like home. The staff are always around, ready to fulfill any requests, yet they are very discreet, and give you all the privacy you need. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of choices, all fresh, and complimentary orange juice, freshly made, cakes and fruits, were kept available for the guests to enjoy during the day. Very nice options for lunch (I loved the salads) which can be served on request, in any of the areas of the quinta. My favourite one was the rooftop, with magnificent views towards the orange fields and further away to the ocean. The property is walking distance to Cabanas de Tavira (I would avoid walking at night though, the road is pretty dark), where you can find some great restaurants (we tried Noelia and Jeronimo, quite famous, and really worth its reputation, and A Grelha, very good too) and a nice beach, easily accessible by boat (just 1.5 Eur for the round trip). Tavira itself, the main town of the region, is only 7 km away. This is a very picturesque little place, which despite the high season, didn´t feel as crowded as other towns in the Algarve. Highly recommend the Quinta dos Perfumes for anyone who wants a peaceful, yet very comfortable, break from the busy life.

This is not under the control of the Quinta, but there is a train passing very close to the property and it can be loud sometimes. After a while you get used to it though, not a big deal.
