great place. choose villa with pool if u have extra cash to spend, but rooms are fine too. we had minor issue with broadband internet, which were resolved in no time thanks to IT guy and FO manager Nico Stelkens. buffet was generous. overall had a great time. thank you guys! Room #4408 (Denis & Anastasia)
what a beautiful location, hotel is very nice, however its time for a renovation
The Hotel has just opened so it was brand new and very clean and luxurious , we were upgraded once we arrived from the merchant ( hillview ) to the Viceroy ( Sea view ) and was magnificant as it was overlooking the lovely swiming pool and the beach , everything was fantastic from the staff to the food and the whole experience was very pleasant , you feel like you are at home and the satff make you feel very welcomed . i would definately go back there if i ever go Langkawi . None
We enjoyed every minute in this new hotel, the staff was very helpful and kind. The facilities are fantastic with marvelous view to the sea The breakfast food could have been more better
Great view from the hotel room. Super friendly staff who would go the extra mile to make the stay most enjoyable. We also loved the kids club. The attendant there is awosome and has a lot of great activities that can keep kids busy for hours. The spa had very limited hours and was very expensive. There are several restaurants outside the hotel, I would avoid the last one which is a chinese seafood restaurant. I think we all had food poison from that restuarant.
Increible.
The size and comfort of the room was even better than expected. It was fabulous to have a fridge and to be able to make a hot drink in the room. We also appreciated the small things that were provided on a daily basis such as water and fresh fruit. From the warm welcome to our final goodbye, the staff were friendly and helpful, without imposing. We also enjoyed the peacefulness that comes with a small number of adult only units. Villa Molek is situated within a short walking distance to a fabulous part of Langkawi - it is all there! The toilet doors would have been better with a solid door rather than the opaque glass.
Staff are attentive/ small and quiet
The nice and spacious bungalows, provided with everything person needs, definitely provide the ideal base in Langkawi. The pool is small but looking at the fact that there are only 12 bungalows it is sufficient. Nice gardens and above all everything is kept in good condition. The mainroad with lots of restaurants and small shops nearby makes it easy to stay without haveing to hire a car.
I liked the villa and its malaysian traditional design, its location (beach is very close), its quietness and its cleanness, although the neighbouring garden needs some maintenance. The italian restaurent nearby serves delicious italian cuisine. I did not like the fact that there is no cooker/cooking materials in the kitchenette even though it has everything else (fridge, water boiler, dishes, cups,...). The swimming pool is quite nice but is very small and shallow.
The resort is walking distance from the hustle bustle of the beach but it still manages to maintain its beauty. It is a small resort compared to bigger hotels / resorts in the vicinity but that itself is the selling point! The place is well kept and gives you a feeling as if you are staying at your home. The rooms are beautifully done with all the facilities. The only thing which was kind of a let down was the absence of micro wave oven in the kitchenette. With most of the stuff available this was surely missed by us during our stay. In addition absence of a bath tub sure was a let down but that was covered to an extent by the rain shower.
Villa Molek has beautiful facilities. The rooms are very nice and spacious, tastefully decorated and calming. The garden around the rooms is absolutely beautiful and breakfast is excellent. Staff is attentive and helpful, yet discreet. The pool is small, but since the beach is just a stones throw away, it doesn't become an issue. Yes, Villa Molek is a bit pricy compared to many other places in Langkawi, but you get your moneys worth! I guess in a perfect world, Villa Molek would be right on the beach. But as said earlier, it's close enough.
The design, and the attention to detail, we were made to feel very special. Love the hotel!!!!! The hotel was fantastic, one of the best we have stayed in! the only minor issue was that there could have been more of a selection at breakfast. We also wouldnt recommend the travel agency they advertise on the front desk. Langkawi to Koh Lanta should have taken 4 hours but with this company actually took 15 long, smelly and uncomfortable hours! Horrid sevice from the agent.
Villa Molek offers a private atmosphere for relaxing. Our room was excellent: very large, new and modern furniture, kitchen facilities. Beside this, a dream beach is only five minutes (by walk) away. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
beautiful villa, very clean, spacious and comfortable. bathroom was a treat - partially indoors / outdoors. the grounds were so lovely, very green and natural. Indian restaurant was good, breakfast in the morning was also great. the pool was small and did not have enough seating- however there is a beach very close.
The resort offered us a peaceful and beautiful venue allowing us to recharge our batteries. Within walking distance to numerous restaurants, shopping and beaches. Wonderful friendly staff . Nothing
The resort staff were very polite and attentive. 1- the rooms are full of lizards, mosquitoes and bugs. 2- the bed sheets were not clean. 3- the breakfast is very poor. 4- it should be mentioned very clearly for the public that this is a wildlife type of a resort, there are cats, dogs, bugs , lizards ...etc even if you wish to have a meal in their so called "restaurant", you will not be able to eat because there will be tens of bugs who want to share this meal with you.
The uniqueness of the individual houses and the peacefulness of the resort.
It was great to stay at a 'living museum'. Staff was very helpful and polite. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Our room was gorgeous and clean. Nothing!
This hotel was very quiet with most of the tourists being couples- older and younger. There were a few families there with well behaved children. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Our room- partial ocean view- was lovely. The decor was beautiful. The balcony was a nice addition that we enjoyed very much. I have just 2 complaints. There is no ice machine for guest use. You must call room service for that. Second, the complementary bath products were low quality- if you need a good conditioner be sure to bring your own. I have never stayed overseas before so this might be the norm. I really don't know about that. We decided to not rent a car while in Langkawi. For us, this was a good choice. We spent a lot of time at the resort, enjoying the peace, delicious food, and beautiful views. When we did venture out, the resort had cabs waiting. Cabs were quite reasonable. The food was fresh and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the salads and satay at Feast. The Captains Grille ...
Good value; located near the airport. The town Kuah is a bit far away at about 20 km. Close to Cable car, Beaches at the hotel are small but well maintained. Not the best of locations but the rooms have an old fashioned charm and are very comfortable. Not bad to stay if you are a short term visitor or on business but can get boring for longer or leisure stays.
the swimming pool is great, but for the price, i won't stay here again when i booked the resort at booking.com the total amount was 710 rm, but at my checkout i was charged nearly 800 rm. the reception said the charges online did not include taxes.
The sea village, of course. It looks beautiful and it feels so calm, so different. I just love sitting at my balcony sipping tea in the morning. Under and surround me was the sea water. The staff was extremely friendly, especially the electronic carriage drivers. Breakfast is very nice. We got a bit confused when they charged an extra 10% service charge on top of the price quoted on booking.com. It's reasonable but just be prepared so you won't be surprised like us. Warm water isn't there all the time to take shower. If you want warm water, you have to turn on the boiler. No internet in room is pretty sad. The beach at the hotel is not quite bath-able due to jelly fish problem. The location is quite far from the fun places.
Sea Villas excellent for Honey Mooners
very confortable and relax, good for family gathering
not much awful location by airport with nothing around, ex-sheraton falling apart, moldy smell on rooms even though they do not have carpet flooring (where is it coming from ?)... dirty walls needing paint, overall dingy - the pictures on the website are extremely misleading
