Quick check in and friendly staff. Bell hops and valet very friendly and efficient. Room is clean and adequate--nothing special, but nothing bad either. Laptop sized safe. Easy access to archeological site El Tajín. Restaurant off lobby with good menu and lots of variety. Good bed. The picture does not tell the story of this facility--it is in the center of a very busy and heavily trafficked part of town. I suspect it's not the safest part of town. The building is NOT a stand-alone facility, but rather part of a continuous city block of buildings. I don't recommend foreigners leave the building once checked in until they are ready to leave. Facility is hard to find and has only valet parking (I don't like valet in Mexico with rentals as damage to rental cars is a huge deal there). Staff called me in night to come pay bill--I insisted that I could not until the morning (not sure why I wasn't asked to pay at check in time). Roads to and from are narrow and clobbered with traffic at all hours. Give yourself plenty of time once in the city. Our room did not have a window, if this is important, call ahead to make sure you get a window room.
