The hotel is in a nice location in Coba, within walking distance of the lake and Coba ruins. The restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent. Only four rooms in the hotel so it felt very private. There was free parking and friendly staff! The entire bathroom gets wet when you shower. Not a huge issue, but makes for some slippery floors!
The staff were very friendly! They seem like very nice people and I'd love to support their business, but the room really wasn't worth the money ($78 USD/night). The coffee/bread in the morning was a nice touch, though! And it was just a 10-15 walk to the ruins past some nice little restaurants which sold very tasty chicken. If it was a cheap hotel I would have been fine with it, but for the price we paid I really can't recommend the place. There were stains on the walls and the bathroom smelled terrible. Like, gag-inducingly bad! Perhaps we showed up after a plumbing mishap of some kind, but nothing of the sort was mentioned. Not something I would complain about for an inexpensive hotel, but at nearly $80 USD/night it felt like a rip off.
