Clean, cheap, cool ppl Its not in a good area at all. Its in the projects. One guy tried to rob me at gunpoint at 3 am but failed. They tend tp wait around the corner of 24/7 atms and rob the ppl who get cash. Lots of people coked up or cracked out. Drug deals everywhere. People smoking blunts in the parking lot and big parties in multiple rooms. Keep in mind this was a saturday night. Lots of police around but they didnt seem to do anything about any of this unless gun shots fired. Btw everyone seems to pack a gun at night here so you might want to do the same.
I had positive experiences with Motel 6 in Norfolk as well as in Jonesville, NC. I booked a room at Motel 8, but it was a Hotel 6 when I actually arrived. :) I needed a refrigerator...didn't have one on 5/28, but did on 6/2. :)
nothing. The hotel told us our room would be ready by 3 and when we got there they told us that we had to wait. Others that were there and waiting for their hotel room had been waiting for over 2 hours when we got there. We were told to wait as well and the reason was because our room was not clean and they only had one person cleaning all of the rooms. We eventually left and found another room at the econolodge next door.
The distance to downtown Norfolk and Virginia Beach areas is relatively short. There are many restaurants, stores, and nationally recognized vehicle maintenance shops within walking distance. The room furnishings are not well maintained. Sink and shower have very low water pressure. Bed covers and sheets old and stained. I used my personal sheets and covers. This is not a glamour spot. Would not recommend for unaccompanied women.
My room was clean and there's laundry facilities available. The motel is located in a rough area and there were shady, dangerous people lurking around the area and hanging out at the motel late into the night. Also, I couldn't sleep at all because someone kept banging around in another room near me. Constant loud noises all night long like sirens blaring, tractor trailers, and ghetto folks shouting.
Didn't like anything about the hotel The room was not clean had stain on the carpet and the sheets the Bath room wasn't cleaned
Near by road One of bed side is soft.
The pool the room elevator and the breakfast cleaning staff friendly Rudeness from all front desk staff smell in the bathrooms in office and the d Fact they I was given a room with no working lock AC and no microwave
The hotel location, is easy to get the malls, restaurants etc. Guess have use the same towels &wash cloth
I like the price. The check out timing was little too early
Comfortable bed Pillows were small and not enough of them, and loud neighbors outside til 3am. But over all room was clean.
It was nice and clean
Nice staff. Clean linens. Old a little shabby
The location and price were decent The room had roaches. When I pulled up, guests in the unit across the lot were making inappropriate comments and were up partying at all hours of the night.
Clean room Where the ice machine was located
I liked that there was a couple good restaurants close to the hotel the moment I walked into our room the smell begin to make my head feel like things with moving in waves.the wallpaper is peeling off the bathroom. The ceiling was showing signs of water damage. it smelled as if a drug dealer had set up shop in that hotel room for several weeks and was just now starting to fume out. I would not bring my family there ever again.
Cont breakfast was good. The African American front desk staff member was a awesome, very friendly and helpful. The other 2 staff were ok. Bathroom was filthy
Absolutely nothing at all! This hotel was a prostitution facility! It was filthy, mold in the bathroom tub and the tub felt like it was going to fall through the floor. I feared for my life because there were pimps and gangsters having a party in front of my room cooking on a grill in what was supposed to be our parking spot in front of our room. When we asked if we could park as all other parking spots were taken, it seemed like they were going to attack us and blocked us from going into our room. When I rang the front desk, the lady that answered told me that there was no certain parking spots and that we had not rights to a parking spot. She yelled at me to shut up, and I felt like I was the one being punished for complaining about gangsters in front of my room at midnight having a cookout. This was the nastiest hotel I have ever been in and I would never recommend it to anyone, even my worst enemy. When I say this is a prostitution facility, it was obvious there were women outside trying to lure men into their room! It was the worst place I have ever seen.
