Ventajas: La tranquilidad del lugar, amabilidad de Luis y Nadia, la comodidad en todos los sentidos, la limpieza, el sonido del mar mientras duermes.

Desventajas: Me hubiese gustado una habitación con terracita pero al pedirlo con baño era abuardillado aunque cierto es que daba al mar... en general me agradó bastante todo.

Ventajas: Excellent location for the surf and walks on the beach away from the centre of town. The owner run hostel was very relaxing and friendly with everything you needed such as the kitchen, bbq areas and a delicious breakfast included in the price. There were also surfboards and bicycles available for hire.

Desventajas: I thought from the advertisement that there was a bath in my double room with private bathroom and the water wasn’t very hot. The photos showed a room with a view, and my attic room only had a small window in the roof.

Ventajas: Limpieza total, ubicación impresionante, buen desayuno, mucha calma, anfitriones super amables. Repetiremos

Ventajas: Se implicaron en resolver nuestros problemas. Incluimos un viajero adicional a última hora y nos consiguieron una tercera cama tan cómoda como las originales, incluso cambiando la configuración de la habitación. Muy buena ubicación y atención perfecta.

Ventajas: The host of the place made us feel really welcome and was a genuine friendly man! The place is by the beach so if you want some peace and quiet with nice views it’s perfect. Shared bathroom was clean and not crowded at all. Breakfast simple but fresh and filling! Loved our stay we will be back!! You can take a walk to supertubos, probably a bit far to walk to town centre but you can take a taxi or drive.

Ventajas: Very good location, right in front of Supertubos. Nice kitchens and living rooms. Breakfast and showers were nice too.

Desventajas: I’d suggest two changes: 1) In the kitchens, there was only one trash bin. Invariably, most people would deposit everything in them, recyclables or not. I think there should be 3 or 4, for plastics, paper, glass, etc. Same for the breakfast area. In fact, there were bins for recyclables outside in the patio area, but people are lazy and only few would use them. These bins need to be at hand, and inside. Just my two cents on a very important problem were facing worldwide. 2) Our Mattresses was not comfortable at all. It felt old and worn out.

Ventajas: The accommodation and the host were amazing! Thank you for everything!!! :) Nice view. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Close to the beach. Lovely breakfast!

Ventajas: Claire and Duncan created something beautiful with this lodge. The lodge itself is spotless and has everything you need. Up for some surfing? Duncan has equipment for all levels of surfing and will help you out with anything. Overall the vibe was great and if you want a awesome surf holiday this is the place to be!

Ventajas: Claire and Duncan where spectacular hosts. They take you to the best surf spots every day, make a camp, and even provide you gear with very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Ventajas: We had a great time, Claire and Duncan offered to drive us to a surf spot every day and took great care of us. Very highly recommended!

Desventajas: Breakfast is only carbohydrates (cereals, marmalade). I miss some egs or ham and cheese for sandwiches.

Ventajas: El Desayuno era compartido aunque no utilizamos ese servicio. Los restaurantes de la zona, Peniche, estaban muy bien, mucha variedad. El alojamiento es ideal para los amantes del surf, lo tienen todo muy organizado y te dan muchas facilidades para practicar este deporte. Además te relacionas con gente de ese rollo y si eres extrovertido te molará la experiencia.

Desventajas: En principio nada que objetar y ninguna pega. No tuvimos contratiempos.

Ventajas: The location of the accommodation, the condition of the rooms and the included breakfast was very good. I particularly liked the enthusiasm and dedication of the hosts which resulted in a good team spirit of all guests and made my stay unforgettable.

Ventajas: We arrived really late on the first night and there was no problem doing the check in.

Desventajas: First of all, my friend and I had booked a shared room of 4 people but when we arrived we found out it was a room of 6, without any explanation different than "you know, it's busy season and people wanted to stay longer". We didn't say anything because we weren't going to spend that much time in the hostel; our idea was to surf and travel. However, what I had never expected during my holidays was to be scolded by the owner for not going surfing with them. He literally came into our room in the morning and quite in an impolite way told us: "you shouldn't come to a surf lodge if you are not going to surf, there are a lot of people wanting to be lodged here, and if you don't surf with us you are making me lose money". I would think that I shouldn't have to explain myself to anyone during my holidays and even less after being given a room worse than what we had booked. By the way, we did do surf everyday, but on our own as we wanted to travel a bit and visit different beaches. Sorry to say that we thought his behaviour very unprofessional and rude. Not a way to treat your clients. P.S: we didn't even have a locker or space to leave our things, it was a really crowded room.

Ventajas: It was a really good place to live there for a week. Host was really helpful with anything you need: surf equipment and lessons, transfers, personal questions. It is not typical hostel. For me it was like friendly place where I can be with my surf mates. All appartment was clean and comfortable with good furniture. Several kitchens and bathrooms. Very close to the ocean.

Desventajas: Presence of microwave may be helpful :)

Ventajas: I had such a great time in Peniche when I arrived, I was very nicely added to the group. After one day I already felt at home, everyone takes care of you and I have already closed all in my heart. The surf lessons were great! I will definitely come back!! :)

Desventajas: the only bad thing was the they couldn‘t adopt me haha

Ventajas: Great hospitality! The setting was really relaxed and very welcoming.

Desventajas: Check-in was a little bit unclear. We missed a short briefing about how everything works, surfing and appartement/lodge wise. But at the end nothing to complain!

Ventajas: Beautiful castle house! Charming and with the character.... reminding of old times. The host is super nice and kind, the rooms very comfortable and clean. Don’t expect modern furniture because the beauty of the house is its history. The breakfast was served in a beautiful room and it was delicious. If you happen to be in that zone don’t hesitate to stay there!

Ventajas: A warm and engaging host who provided good advice on where to go and what to do. Excellent breakfasts. Lovely old family home.

Ventajas: An old family house on the way to Peniche. The owner welcomed us over a glass of Port and offered information about the area - places to visit, things to see and where to have dinner. All the rooms are tastefully decorated with antique artefacts, yet facilities are quite modern - a very comfortable bed and good water pressure in shower. Breakfast served in the dining room facing the garden was delicious and truly home made. Swimming pool looks lovely but we didn't have the chance to use it because of the weather.

Desventajas: Nothing

Ventajas: The hosts were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was wonderful and we were greeted with a smile every morning and the best tasting fresh orange juice! The casa itself is beautiful and our room in the garden facing the swimming pool had everything we needed during our stay. We spent a lot of time lounging around the pool when we were not making the short trip to the beach at Baleal. The host gives helpful tips on where to go and where to eat. Really enjoyed this stay and would return if were ever near by.

Ventajas: To watch surfing,the location was very good. The room was spacious, well maintained, and immaculate. Five stars for the staff - they were extremely helpful and very courteous. Room service was fast, although they did make a slight error in the order.

Desventajas: Had breakfast twice, and one dinner. Dinner is buffet-style. Food quality for dinner was not up to expectations. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Service was fine. Prices were reasonable.

Desventajas: El acceso. Era incómodo venir del centro y tener que pasar de largo hasta la siguiente rotonda para dar la vuelta y poder entrar al hotel

Ventajas: El hotel es nuevo y tiene un montón de servicios. El desayuno era muy bueno. Lo recomiendo para ir en trabajo o bien de vacaciones.

Ventajas: Rooms are large an excellent equipped. Breakfast is great. Beautiful views from the Restaurant.

Ventajas: The room was quite big. The hotel is new.

Desventajas: The location is not nice. The two ladies at the reception desk when I checked in. Not professional.

Desventajas: Really nice hotel but needs a few upgrades. The breakfast was also average. That said waking up to the Atlantic every morning made it well worth it

Ventajas: El desayuno exquisito. Habitaciones muy confortables. La cena (que no teniamos prevista hacerla en el hotel) fue exquista,era tipo buffet.

Desventajas: Como sugerencia, diría poner unos percheros para poder colgar los albornoces y que se sequen durante la noche..

Ventajas: Para nosotros la ubicación es fundamental.

Ventajas: The surrounding of the Hotel which is calm. I found it way more enjoyable than the MH Peniche wich is a bit closer to Peniche but much more noisy (main road in front of the hotel). The lobby, the swimming pool. Once again the MH Peniche which is more expensive has a tasteless lobby and its pool is right in front of a very noisy road. The staff was way more friendly than at the MH Peniche The breakfast buffet was excellent. I also have had dinner (buffet as well) and liked it.

Ventajas: Huge and Very clean room. Staff Very polite and helpful, They provided a weelchair for my mom after she had a backpain and saved the vacations.

Desventajas: They charged me more for some nights i extended, Even though it was the same bed and service and All that.. That made me feel cheated a bit

Ventajas: The beds were comfortable and there was a nice garage for surfboard and wetsuit storage. The atmosphere is very easy-going.

Desventajas: This is basically a frat house, complete with stacks of dirty dishes in the kitchen sink and parties until the early morning. There was only 1 person on staff and he 100% did his best to keep it under control, but it was impossible with the house so full all the time. Not especially secure either, my roommates constantly left the door unlocked, but nothing went missing.

Ventajas: The atmospher, the staff gave it so much positiv energy

Desventajas: If you don't want to party late into the night it might be a little noisy for you.

Ventajas: Mi pareja y yo durante 3 días hemos estado como en casa. La casa es genial, limpia, amplia y acogedora.Tiene todo lo necesario para disfrutar de Baleal, además si te gusta el arte esta casa es para ti. Gracias a todas las personas que nos recibieron!

Ventajas: Perfect location, cheap dorms, casual vibe! Some staff were friendly! I have been coming to baleal every year for 4 years now and had a great experience every time but this time the hostel let down Baleal a little.

Desventajas: The adjoining bathroom to our dorm room hadn’t been cleaned or even checked before we arrived so it was a mess from the other person staying in there; rocks, shells and sand all in the sink blocking it. Of course there’s going to be someone’s stuff in there as it’s a shared dorm room but there’s basic checks they could’ve done, at least wipe the sides and empty sink etc... I asked before if they could accommodate some sort of gluten free items for the included breakfast, they said they would buy me something gf which was nice! However we got there and the breakfast staff had no idea what I was talking about, in the end she found what was meant to be the gf cereal they had bought but I checked the packet before eating and it wasn’t actually gluten free... bit strange! Luckily they had boiled eggs so had some of those and there was fruit, a couple bits of ham and cheese which was fine!! Departure: when checking out of the property and paying before going for a final surf I asked the reception man about buses to Peniche coach station; he said it wasn’t reliable so advised getting a taxi and offered to book us one. I said ok great please can you book it for 2.15 and he said yes and so we went off for a surf! I also told them at this point that the cereal wasn’t gluten free they bought but it was ok I had some eggs and they just sort of shrugged awkwardly and didn’t say anything. We came back an hour before our taxi was due to arrive and, bearing in mind they don’t have staff working/reception open between 1pm-6pm, we waited with our bags at the front of the hostel and no sign of the taxi by 2.15... we waited 5 more minutes and we were looking around for one of the staff to see what they thought because they hadn’t given us the number or anything. It got to 2.25 and our coach was leaving peniche at 3 and it’s a 15 minute drive...

Ventajas: Es una casa muy completa y la persona que nos atendió nos dio toda la información necesaria. Desayuno más que correcto.

Ventajas: Todo muy chulo y adecuado para familias. El personal super amable.

Ventajas: el trato del personal,sobre todo el de recepcion. excepcional. la ubicacion es muy buena, la playa esta justo enfrente.

Desventajas: hay poca variedad de comida en el restaurante,pero estaba buena la que habia.

Not helpful at all.th pillows in room are all broken form so very uncomfortable (very old) I was bitten so many times while sleeping. just felt the beds and bed linen not itchy. Would never return to this hotel. I would never recommend either. Staff need to be looked at .

Ventajas: El personal muy amable, desayuno normal ubicación buena.

Desventajas: Le falta una renovación en las habitaciones, sobretodo en los baños, nada mas abrir la habitación un olor tan fuerte a alcantarilla insoportable, tuve que abrir la puerta de la terraza para cambiar de aire.

Ventajas: desayuno tipo buffet, mas que suficiente, habitaciones grandes y las camas también, quizás el baño algo justillo, cenamos en el hotel, carta corta pero suficiente para una cena informal

Ventajas: Stayed at this remodeled hotel with a surf feel. Right across the road from beach. Very large comfortable room. Breakfast was decent. Parking was available on large hotel lot. It is well located for outdoors and if you use a car. We also went to the south side of Peniche to see the last cave dwellings of the Neanderthal in the world there about 40,000 yrs ago, as well as the main forts.

Desventajas: Restaurants in town are about 1.5 to 2 kms away, which we walked easily but closer in would have been nice for us. Others might like this as it is more quiet perhaps.

Ventajas: Great location and easy and heaps of parking! We came to watch the Ripcurl Pro and couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the event (supertubos). The rooms are massive, very clean and modern. The breakfast included in the room cost is soo good. Best selection of food. The hotel is also located in walk distance to shops and restaurants. The staff were great and very friendly / helpful.

Ventajas: Above average rooms size. Good location next to the beach

Ventajas: The location is relatively close to the beaches of Peniche.

Desventajas: Room smelled strongly of smoke and is overpriced.

Ventajas: Lo que más nos gusto fue el trato recibido por el dueño del alojamiento. Cabe destacar la cesta del desayuno que nos dejaban por las mañanas en la terracita de la habitación.

Desventajas: Lo que menos nos gusto, fue que había pocos enchufes en la habitación. Por lo demás excelente.

Ventajas: La zona es muy tranquila y está a cinco minutos de Peniche y a tres de la autovía. Jose es un encanto y muy amable. El baño es bastante grande y todo muy limpio. La cama grande y comodisima! Volveremos a repetir cuando vayamos por la zona!!

Desventajas: Nada que decir.

Ventajas: El trato de José y Mónica. Los perros son muy bienvenidos. El desayuno genial. Está muy bien ubicado, aunque tenga una carretera muy cerca. Pero es genial pasar unos días en este encantador lugar!

Ventajas: La habitación que yo tuve está en un edificio anexo al hotel, en el que el desayuno sin ser muy variado es bastante correcto, y en un salón muy agradable. Justo frente al hotel hay una pequeña placita con aparcamiento. Cerca del hotel hay varios restaurantes y tiendas. Me gustó no tener que subir escaleras para ir a mi habitación. El personal del hotel muy amable.

Desventajas: Mi habitación era demasiado estrecha, ya que con las dos camas casi no podía moverme por ella. Contaba con una tv demasiado pequeña, y la cama no era muy cómoda. En toda la habitación, solo un enchufe. Al menos yo no vi más...

Ventajas: Great price performance ratio! The room was always very clean and cosy and the breakfast was very good as well. There was a great variety of foods and everything was served fresh. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Desventajas: The TV was very old and could be too small for TV lovers.

Ventajas: Good location. Walking distance to bus terminal, shopes and restaurants. Very good breakfast!

Desventajas: Los colchones de nuestra habitación eran de cuando Angola aún era colonia portuguesa, el cuarto de baño, aunque espacioso y moderno, estaba tirando a guarrillo.

Ventajas: The location is very good. The stuff very friendly and you have discounts if you rent the surf board and wet suit from their firm.

Desventajas: I know that isn't a 5 star hotel, and for the money we paid everything was fine, except the matterss. Even if the price is very low i think is very important that you have a good place to sleep and that implies the mattress. hope you change it ( room 1)

Ventajas: Great space with a very nicley equiped kitchen and a cool living room. The location is awsome and they offer surfing classes and surfing equipment rentals :)

Desventajas: Se escuchaba mucho el ruido del resto de las habitaciones. La persiana de la habitación no funcionaba. El baño olía fatal a tuberías. Es una cuarta planta sin ascensor y no se avisa.

Ventajas: I really liked the location, it was super close to the beach and the grocery store was just down the street. You could also easily walk down the road and find the most beautiful sunset spot on Papoa island.

Desventajas: The pillows were not comfortable, I couldn’t sleep great with the pillows available to us. Our room didn’t have a deck so we would have to go down 4 flights of stairs to have a smoke. The oven doesn’t work either.

Ventajas: La localización de la habitación hacie que hubiese mas tranquilidad con respecto al resto de inquilinos del piso. Habitación grande con terraza grande y buenas vistas. El baño compartido amplio y cercano. Se puede ir andando al centro de peniche. Buena localización.

Desventajas: Los portazos de la puerta de casa. Nadie se molesta en meter la llave para cerrar sin molestar. No hay ascensor

Ventajas: Nada

Desventajas: 1) recibimiento rápido,con prisas. 2) la ropa de cama no daban sensación de limpieza, las mantas olían a humedad. Y parecía que habían reutilizado las sábanas. 3) buena terraza, pero la puerta de la terraza de nuestra habitación imposible de cerrar con pestillo, y da a una terraza comunitaria. Tampoco funcionaba las persianas. 4) poca limpieza, sobre todo el baño. 5) los huéspedes poco respeto con los horarios de descanso, no es culpa del alojamiento, pero si se podría establecer unas normas de convivencia que no las tienen.

Ventajas: Ideal relación calidad-precio. Buen trato, tranquilo y limpio.

Ventajas: This was a gorgeous room with huge windows overlooking the ocean and point, we had the top floor. Restaurants and cafes within walking distance plus a nice beach with surfing or swimming.

Desventajas: Although there was no elevator (63 steps up to the top floor) it was worth the stairs for the view.

Ventajas: Everything was as expected, quiet place, nice room, friendly people.

Ventajas: Everything was perfect. Lady at the desk was great.

Ventajas: Lo que más me ha gustado fue la ubicación. Está muy cerca al mar. Recomendable para gente que quiera surfear.

Desventajas: No me gusto el hecho que el hotel está un poco anticuado. Los baños podrían estar en mejor condición, ya que en las paredes del baño se nota la cal, y las partes metálicas de la ducha y del vater están oxidadas.

Ventajas: The staff were excellent especially Jeremy, I had a few incidents in Portugal and they really helped a lot. The view was brilliant

Desventajas: There were construction works over the road, which blighted the view a little however this was not the hotel's fault.

Ventajas: We had a balcony room where we sat to watch the sunset. Staff spoke good English and were very friendly. Room was large and clean.

Desventajas: No real restaurant on site or nearby. But the limited menu offered at the hotel was good.

Ventajas: The hotel needs a reparation. Outside the hotel were a building of something which made the view a little bit worse. Breakfast could be better. We were staying there during the low season (end of oktober). Stuff really did their work and were nice and helpfull.

Ventajas: Love the room with balcony and sea view. Price is reasonable too. Quiet location, great for walks. Staff has excellent customer services

Desventajas: Shops is a bit out of the way. No coffee making facilities in room.

Desventajas: the photos are not true, the structure is still a yard with temporary stairs, the room is very small and humid with no comfort, for example, no hook to hang towels and the wooden beds creak so much that you do not sleep. Staff rude and approximate, no room cleaning service and no change of towels if not on request. Breakfast acceptable but be careful not to delay, at 10.01 they send you back. No yoga or other services, just surf lessons but too expensive, surf rental on the beaches are better.

Ventajas: The team was so nice to us! Helped us eith everything we neded! The yoga class was wanderfull and the massage was the best!!!!!! Good place for surfing - we rented a borde and had a really good time Thanx a lot Love you

Ventajas: La situación, el restaurante. Habitación renovada con colchones nuevos. El desayuno igual todos los días , pero buena la macedonia natural.

Desventajas: Hormigas en la habitacion durante toda la estancias, a pesar de informar de ello. No se realizó ninguna limpieza durante los 6 días , a pesar de solicitarla. Se cambiaron la toallas el último día y despues de insistir varias veces. Falta de armario para la ropa y de mesilla de noche.

Desventajas: No existe recepción como tal, no hay nadie atendiendo, más de media jora esperando que apareciese alguien para poder hacer el check-in teniendo en cuenta que mandamos un correo para informar de la hora de llegada, ni nos respondieron, también lo probé por teléfono y ni tampoco respondieron. El bar estaba cerrado aunque ponga que abre todo el Verano. La habitación no tiene lo que sale en las fotos, no tiene ni armario, ni estantería, ni colgador, ni siquiera una mesa o una silla, así que la maleta y la ropa al suelo. Tampoco tenía secador de pelo como especificaba, gel y champú tampoco, y ni siquiera jabón de manos. Nada de esto se puede subsanar ya que en recepción no hay nadie, y por teléfono ni cogen. El desayuno buffet ni os lo creáis, café de termo, leche fria, y tostadas, no llega ni a desayuno continental.

Ventajas: El trato del personal y las instalaciones son excelentes

Ventajas: La habitación era amplia y con techos altos. Salida directa a la piscina. Noches muy tranquilas.

Desventajas: La habitación no tenía armario ni ningún otro mueble que no fuera las camas. El baño idem y no tenía ventilación. La ventilación de la habitación era a través de un ventanuco de 50x50 cm.
