I liked the location. It was close to Scottsdale Fashion Square, restaurants and bars. The pool was nice and has late hours, and the rooms had doors that opened up to your own private patio. I agree with others that have said you're paying for the location. Overall... I've stayed at equally priced, if not cheaper, hotels with better customer service, hotel amenities and accommodations. The pool is open from 6 a.m. to midnight. That's great except they closed the bar around 6 p.m. and you had to walk into into the hotel lobby bar to order drinks (per the pool bar staff). I would have liked to dry off before walking into the hotel lobby for a drink, except they ran out of towels. We asked twice for towels and they the pool/bar staff said the towels were on their way. We never got any towels. The only great service we received was from the guy at valet. I will not be booking at this hotel again.
The grounds are beautiful and enjoyable. The dinner menu options are limited.
I enjoyed the Spa because the staff was very kind and mellow. After the found out it was our anniversary, they upgraded our room to have a king size instead of two queen beds. They also sent chocolate covered strawberries to our room. This visit was more exciting because of the Spa. The hotel was only decent and a bit dated. I didn't like the already included gratuity charge, costing around 25% of my already expensive Spa package. The hotel room was decent but they aren't very modern. Hotel towels are rough and over-bleached from years of use. Housekeeping left trash from previous visitors in plain view. Also a bummer that this hotel hasn't upgraded to free continental breakfast like many others.
The location was great and the hotel offered a shuttle to anything within a 3 mile radius! Tip required Wish the empty glasses in the common areas were picked up more often.
I never leave reviews. But given the price of this 'resort" I thot important to leave a comment. At checkin they told me $25 will be added for amenities - I was thinking like spa and other advanced features. He said no, its for parking, pool use and internet. Things you'd think would be included with the base price I was paying already. I just said ok and paid. In my room my internet was so poor I could not open a proposal I had to review for the next day - instead being prompted to upgrade for faster internet at 14.95! I left and went to a Starbucks to complete my work. Later that night I was in my room and a dog next door started barking non-stop.I called the front desk and they had no other place to put me... but did offer me a refund and could leave if Priceline approved. Which they did approve. So I left. They need to reassess things. I would have put up with these things if it were a Motel 6 - which it was far from. Never again.
The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The pool is beautiful with attentive staff poolside. The restaurant at the hotel was delicious.
Very pleased with all the little extras! Free parking, happy hour, dog friendly, beautiful pool with beach, and shuttle. Also by joining rewards we got internet, breakfast and bar credit.
Price was reasonable Super small room No garbage bags Terrible view
All you need is on site and transportation is readily available
Very classic hotel but good though. The room was big and clean. The swimmingpool is very nice with nice chairs and nice atmosphere. No remarks.
The sewer odor was very alarming in the room. The hotel moved me to another room when I called about the odor but the same smell permeated that one also. This problem needs serious and immediate attention to correct. I spoke with several other guests and they experienced the same issue so it appears to be pretty widespread. If This facility belonged to me, I would get it corrected fast.
Beautiful pools and helpful staff. Luxurious rooms and a fun bar.
Comfort; Excellent restaurant
The Hotel Is very nice The only thing that I didn't like is that I had to pay 16 $ on top of the price of the Hotel, for services that I didn't use, but overall was so convinient that it doens't matter.
The hotel is in a nice environement. There is an Extra charge of $16 a day from the hotel that does not appear from the site.
The ambiance and the courteous friendly treatment. It was a 5-star experience for a third of the normal price. nothing at all
The spacious rooms with excellent bathrooms and toiletries and good quality furniture.
Clean. Sufficient and close to where I was going. We were given a room very far away from check in and parking when they had many available rooms closer.
The staff were really nice to us and it was a very relaxing stay. I don't think they should charge people for the extra each day for use of the fitness center etc. unless they are interested. I did not mind but the customer ahead of me was not happy and I did not use any of the extra things except the pool.
Staff attentive, professional, yet friendly. Water in lobby-it was 101! Coffee was great. Cookies were great-but unsure of ingredients-nuts? Cigarette butts all over outside area in early a.m. Wished for small continental breakfast.
The pool and patio area was great!! And friendly staff. Rooms need updating. And was hoping for a small continental breakfast.
Friendly staff, great location, excellent breakfast
Great location for getting around downtown Scottsdale.
Rooms are nice and clean. Staff is friendly. Check in/out process very quick Right on the street so a lot of traffic noise
We stayed here for super bowl weekend, when the demand was much higher than the supply in the Scottsdale area. With that said, hotels could have gotten away with a lower level of service because they just could, you didn't have options. However, the Hilton Garden provided some of the best service I've ever had at a hotel and I have traveled a lot and to many 4 and 5 star hotels around the world. Everyone was so very friendly and they had complimentary candy, drinks and football souvenirs for their guests. The location was ideal - right in the heart of old town, where all the action was going on. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making our weekend so memorable. Other than the Seahawk loss, nothing to dislike.
The hotel staff was very helpful and, although, every guest that came down for breakfast asked when there would be more food out, the breakfast staff was curious and quick to refill the food (it was just VERY busy) The TV in the room was really old and the sheets and towels didn't feel like they use fabric softener, but it was a great value for the price!
The beds are comfy, temperature is always right in the room. Hate the headboards, you can't lean against them without falling through. The pool is always cold, and the bubble jets dont work in the hot tub. These have been ongoing problems (years). The breakfast staff can't keep up with demand and they quit setting out food at 8:30, even the milk for cereal, which I think is a bit ridiculous even if you're trying to save money.
Beds were comfortable. Location was great. The A/C needed to be repaired one night but hotel gave us a $100 credit which was great! Also, the A/C was a little load being it is in closet next to bedroom.
The entire experience was relaxing and surpassed my expectations. With multiple restaurants and all the amenities one could want, there is little reason to leave the property except to hike. Some minor issues with lack of professionalism from the staff.
One of the true gems among the large Scottsdale resorts. Updated nicely, quiet and spacious. Plus, amazing views of Camelback Mountain. If you get a chance to stay here - take it.
When we first checked in our room was not what we expected and had a odd scent. I mentioned it o the front desk who then promptly moved us and made ever effort to make us comfortable. The new room was perfect and what he has hoped for. The staff No. the poll was gorgeous. Groyhds wee breathtaking. Staff was over the top nice.
Gorgeous grounds. Beautiful room. Awesome bathroom An $80 erroneous charge had to be removed and it took at least 30 minutes
Cheap and close to my Conference at the Westin Kierland. Older property, so shower knob got stuck, elevator was scary.
Descent Scottsdale location "Full Kitchen" is very basic and dated, but works. Not 1 utensil, pot, pan, cup, plate, bowl, etc. Most other kitchen type places have something you can eat with. This has zero. Bathroom and kitchen are co-located. Workable but kind of odd. Price a bit high for what you get but Scottsdale location allows it.
Simple, clean, convenient place to stay at a great price with nice people. Rooms include full size refrigerator and basic kitchen, comfortable bed, fine TV. Great price near ritzy resorts. If you just need a home base for a trip to this area, you can't find a better value.
Overall not a bad place to stay. Rooms were clean besides slme stains on the carpet. Location was good too, relatively nice part of town and lots of shops and restaurants within a short distance. Checking in took much longer than it should have. GIrl working at the front desk took a personal phone call as she answered it "hey baby" and was laugjing and giggling. Was on the phone for about 15 minutes while my fiance and I were trying to check in, and she was talking to us with hand signals while she was on the phone. When she hung up she said it was her manager... Beds were not comfortable at all, woke up with a back ache. Weird smell in the hallways that crept into our room.
Hot breakfast included and also Free drinks and cocktails every evening. televisions need updating.
We'all return since the room and food were exceptional.
The breakfast and evening drinks was a great money saver n/a
pleasant friendly helpfull staff, good start to the day with the breakfast. the front pool area needed some work doing to the surface, pieces sticking up between the jouints
Staff was friendly and very professional
The rooms are nice and clean as well as the facilities It would be better if they didn't serve breakfast than call it that. But this is true of all La Quinta hotels. I cannot handle their instant coffee. This is the last time I am staying at a La Quinta. Also, they are really stingy with their shower products. It may be an inexpensive place to stay but it is not for me
Good value, close to shopping & restaurants. Clean comfortable room. A bit noisy next to car wash/gas station, but room was still quiet.
