Great value bed was very comfortable. Room was spotless everything was great. Good breakfast helpful staff I am elderly traveling alone and the housekeeping staff helped me to the elevator to check out first time that happened in any hotel they volunteered I did not have to ask. Highly recommend
Everything Nothing everything was great
Clean rooms, friendly staff, eefficient check in and out, tasty breakfast, easy to find, plenty of parking, and very close to where we needed to go.
Beds are comfortable Staff is friendly and helpful Decent location Walls are a bit thin.
My family and I just loved staying here. It made our weekend a lot easier, not having to worry about breakfast before my daughter swam. I would recommend this to any swimming family!!!!
There weren't any cockroaches. Noisy, seedy part of town, No free internet. Advertised as free internet, Not so!! Running their service thru Nomadix so they can spy on your internet activiy, worse than the NSA. Slower than 56k modem so you pay hotel more money to do any kind of business. This is 2015 isnt it? Why do I have to use my phone as these cheap motels cause they're trying to make money by selling client lists???
I liked that the staff answered my questions and were very helpful. I drove up from Anchorage after work, and called before I left Anchorage to see if my room will be available and the staff assured me I'll have a room, and informed me that the roads in Fairbanks were decent. We didn't like the smell of the elevator. That was the only downfall we noticed.
Very close to the airport. Hotel offers courtesy shuttle. If you reach after hours, you can take a YellowCab or Eagle Cab and hotel will cover the charge. Breakfast selection was decent, not great. Scrambled eggs, waffle maker, pastries, biscuit and gravy and coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel is under renovation. Rooms in the first floor still have strong paint smell and noise from renovation in the second floor. Rooms with stove feel small as all the rooms are of the same size and the stove/counter takes up a lot of space. We switched from a room with stove to one without, which felt a little bigger. Staff could have been more knowledgeable. We went mainly to see the Aurora Borealis. The staff didn't have any good suggestions for good spots around the town where visibility would be good. Also, we asked about dog sledding and they couldn't recommend any place either. Having suggestions on local attractions would be helpful. Breakfast selection can be better.
Very nice and clean room with a very comfortable bed. Great shower. Plenty of parking. Pet friendly.
was not told of remodel in progress. found partial marijuana joint on bathroom sink. will never stay in a La Quinta suits again.
I was staying here because of proximity to airport for early morning departure. The staff was helpful and accommodating. When I needed a ride (shuttle was included) and the shuttle was not yet running because of early hour, they provided a voucher to cover cab costs. Also had breakfast available early so I could grab a bite. The room was clean, efficient, bedding very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it. They also had the hotel decorated with some interesting old Fairbanks/Alaska photographs that were actually worth a walk around to see. Because of winter hours (dead of winter, I might add), there was no food service or gift shop service available on Mondays or Tuesdays, so I had no other option for meals beyond ordering in by phone. They did provide coffee and hot water, in addition to in-room coffee making facilities and a microwave for reheating. Even with this, I'd still stay here again.
It was clean & the staff was excellent. Restaurant was only open for dinner and only 4 nights a week. Had to take cab else where or order in. Booked there thinking could eat all meals there. The room was hot and were not suppose to open windows. No way to cool room off.
This hotel was fabulous on our last nite on a 15 day trek from Vancouver to Fairbanks with a 7 day cruise along the way. They provided a shuttle service that picked us up at the train and took us to the airport. The room was large with a sitting area, business desk and studio kitchen area. The bed was comfortable. We had one of the best breakfasts we have had a a hotel. The oatmeal was not package but fresh and had 6-7 toppings like pecans, raisins and craisins. They had hot food including salsa for the eggs. I don't drink coffee but they had a unit that provided many of the popular ''fancy type'coffees it appeared to me. Many options beyond the popular waffle maker which my husband likes. We did the Riverboat Discovery trip which I would recommend and the shuttle delivered us round trip. We went to visit the Ice Museum and it did not look like much but it was fascinating ($12 for adults). On the hour they show a film, then display their many sculptures they have on site and then one o...
If you are going to Fairbanks, I highly recommend this hotel. All of the rooms are studio suites, nicely furnished, clean, with very comfortable beds. My only complaint was that someone before us in our room tampered with the TV and broke the box in the back probably trying to get something free. I called the front desk and they didn't have anyone that could do anything about it even though it was still late afternoon. They did offer to move us, but since we already had all of our things in the room and unpacked, we declined. No big deal, the TV still worked by pushing the buttons on the front and there was another one in the bedroom area. The included breakfast was very good with eggs, sausage, waffles and lots of other stuff. Great location, right downtown on the river with plenty of free parking. We were on a lengthy road trip so needed to do the laundry while there. The laundry should have been larger for the size of the hotel.
I chose Springhill Suites because of previous good experiences at other Marriot ''Suites'' hotels. I was not disappointed. The room was great. The hotel is just across the street from the Fairbanks Visitor's Center and the Chena River. Ask for a room on the ''front'' of the hotel for this view. On one night, we enjoyed a band concert in the park across the street. The continental breakfast was great - a lot of variety with plenty to choose from. .
The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very clean and house cleaning service was amazing. If you needed something extra the brought it to you imeadiatly. A must if you are staying in Fairbsnks.
Wonderful large room, very clean and in great location.
Always love Springhill Suites and this one did not dissapoint. The restaurant could be improved but otherwise everything was great.
Great breakfast. nice pool and hottub. Rooms very clean and spacious. Front desk staff very busy but helpful.
My daughter and I had a long stay in the Fairbanks SpringHill Suites, and it was wonderful. Beautiful staff, and beautiful room! The hotel and the room were SPOTLESS and the breakfasts provided were amazing! Thank you for making my first real vacation in ten years so lovely!
Checked in, desk clerk too busy carrying on personal conversation with another guest to pay attention to us. Got to room and it was freezing. Turns out window left open and boiler being serviced. Clerk did not tell us & this lasted about 3 hours during which my young grandson and I froze. No offer of portable heater or a room that hadn't been chilled to outside air temp with open window when I questioned situation. No consideration on bill either after I complained. Of course, no manager on Sat to help.
Not having a refrigerator in the room or an iron
Individual cottages are super cute, quiet, and clean. Staff is great! Safe location The rooms don't have refrigerators
Loved the fact it was a cottage, by yourself.
This is a charming location, quite close to the Fairbanks Airport. The cottages are simple but fine. Staff is helpful and friendly. The restaurants are excellent. Can't think of anything.
CRT TV Really? Bad TV reception. Flat panel TV and HD cable service is not much money.
Staff was excellent and great breakfast.
Enjoyed coming into friendly atmosphere and warm chocolate chip cookies. Pool was nice sized and whirlpool eased aching from the long drive. Large shower was comfortable. King sized bed inviting and lovely view from the window to a snowy open field. Hearty self serve breakfast sent us on our way.
I had a single king room. It was very clean and spacious. Also room was quiet which I really liked. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was great. A lot of variety and hot items changed daily. Would stay there for work again. Didn't care for the handicapped shower set up.
Clean hotel, with standard amenities. First time I've stayed at the Copper Lodge (with the solar panels), and the wifi on that side of the hotel was terrible. My devices kept dropping signal; something I have not experienced in two stays in the main lodge. I also did not have any hot water to take a shower two mornings at 7am which was quite irritating since this was a business trip and I had to go to work. I also did not experience this hot water shortage in the main lodge building.
Friendly staff, nice rooms, enjoyable atmosphere. Would love to stay again. No bad experiences with the hotel itself, however, the restaurant adjacent to the hotel, had an intrusive and somewhat rude waiter. Overall I enjoyed the restaurant, but did not return due to said waiter- a male in his 40's who made some personal comments to my wife when I was not around as well as some unprofessional comments / statements to a couple young ladies who were at the table next to ours. What was shocking was the individual had informed us he had been a waiter for 20+ years at numerous restaurant establishments.
Our unit was like having our own home, great apartment. Staff was very friendly and helpful, went out of their way to help with our needs. The night we arrived, it was late, we had not eaten so I called the front desk to see if they knew where we could get food. The shuttle driver overheard the conversation. He came back without asking, took me to the bar that was about to close and asked the bartender if he could help. The bartender made us sandwiches to go on in the kitchen that had already shut down. Awesome sandwiches. Great team! N/A
Comfort Everything was perfect

great value for price. clean, modern. great for 1 or 2 night stays as needed. Smelt weird. Also the breakfast was not bad but I didn't like that everything was disposable. Plates, cups, utensils. Hotel is not environmentally friendly compared to the rest of our stays in Alaska.
Helpful, friendly personnel. Fresh cookies. Great breakfast variety. Available tea/coffee/hot chocolate 24/7.
The room was comfortable and clean. It was a long distance from my secondary meetings.
pretty much everything was great breakfast always out of something. attitude of attendant less then helpful

Clean, comfortable, and good breakfast. Free shuttle to and from airport. Nice but small fitness center. No business center. Thought I read somewhere online (it could have been a review) that the shuttle took you around the town within a mile but that was not true. Not much information on surrounding restaurants.
Very Nice Staff The pool and hot tub were not available for use The room/bathroom could have been cleaned betterBreakfast was not well stocked
I booked the king size spa room 3 weeks in advanced. I checked in and was given a room. It was the wrong room (standard room). I went back to the main desk and informed them of the mistake. They told me that there were no more king size rooms available and wanted to know if I wanted to rebook for a different day. I did not rebook nor did I stay that night.
There were no bedbugs Nothing
Good service and love the free Breakfast None
the hot tub was actually hot! nope
Staff is exceptional. Knowledgable, warm and welcoming
The older gentleman who checked me in was very grumpy.
Fireplace in my room Green initiative. Chose to not have them disturb my room or collect towels til my weekend stay was over Hotel was hidden away from main roads. Tucked away Complimentary breakfast was perfect Tv HDMI comparable. We brought our fire stick Needed more blankets for the bed.
Staff are exceptionally curteous and helpful, and seem genuinely caring about the comfort of the guests. The pool is is always broken.
Clean and comfortable
I really enjoyed the waffles in the morning and the bed was very comfortable. The room was really cold and the hand soap dispenser was out as well as the shampoo. :-/
Clean rooms. Quite and looked fancy. Was not told before hand the pool was out of order. Was not told when we checked in. Only found out when I came down stairs Saturday morning for a dip. Very disappointed.
Went to take my daughter to UAF. The location was very close to the university and less than 10 minutes to Wal-Mart, Fred Meyer, and other stores. The staff was helpful and friendly and the breakfast included was decent and convenient. Only problem was the bottom sheet not wanting to stay on the bed.
They overbooked out room TWICE. Once we finally got in to the room, they gave it out to someone else while a were in it, keys and all. I found out because two strangers walked into our room while we were there, with the door shut. They later changed our keys, didn't tell us orthe other staff until we found out we were locked out of our own room.
The breakfast had to be refilled every 5min but the chef would take forever to cook
Clean, convenient and comfortable the room is a little bit crowded for 3 people.
The room was nice, and the owners were very nice. I liked that we had the ability to use the kitchen if we wished. Due to a flight problem, we arrived at 3:00 a.m. I had called the owner earlier that day, and she graciously left keys for us. Coffee pots weren't in each room, although that may be an Alaska thing. No problems, but the key situation is a little unnerving...if our room key works the front door of the house, would someone else's key work for our room? I think so.
We like the cleanness, the breakfast, the room and the bathroom. We like especially their hospitality. We chat like friends and exchange life stories with hotel employees. The golden umbrella is one of the highlights in our trip to Alaska! Highly Recommen
Sophie Station was a very nice hotel for the price in Fairbanks. Our King Suite was nice, clean, and well suited for our week long stay in the city. All of the staff was extremely nice and helpful, down to the point of giving me a window frost scraper for my rental car. Thanks for the box fan in my room! My wife and I like the sound to help us sleep. I will definitely stay here again next year when I come up to Fairbanks! I wish there was an ice machine available in the building.
La ubicación era muy buena. Cerca de restaurantes y el aeropuerto. No estaba bien cuidado y limpio. Las sábanas manchadas como alfombra. Los pasillos sucios.
Gran precio. Buena ubicación. Duchas de agua muy caliente. Huele mal. Las fundas de almohada y mantas estaban sucias. Alfombras que te dejan los pies negros!
