The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Getting checked in/out was very easy. The original private room accommodations that I'd reserved had accidentally been overbooked, so the owner gave us a multi-person room all to our own to help remedy the situation. All of the rooms lock, and it looks like there are also small lockers upstairs that you can use (we just kept things locked in our room without issue). This was my first guesthouse/hostel experience, but it couldn't have been better. The bathrooms are all shared, but they are kept fairly clean throughout the day. The rooms are humble but have air conditioning for the hot months. Toast, coffee, eggs, and juice are provided in the mornings to make breakfast for yourself if you wish. And there is a full kitchen if you wish to bring back your own food to cook a meal. For the extended-stay travelers, they also do laundry a couple of times a week. And there's free wifi. If you plan to be out experiencing Seoul all day, with only plans to eat/sleep at the guesthouse, this is the place for you. We met the most lovely people from around the world here as we shared our meals. The Hongdae Orange Guesthouse is near a subway that will get you anywhere around Seoul you'll want to go, and near GREAT food, shopping, and night life. We had a comfortable, safe, clean place to lay our heads at night. And the staff couldn't be more friendly (the big fluffy dog included! what a sweetie). It's a great deal. No complaints. The Hongdae Orange Guesthouse was everything we needed and more in a guesthouse.
