Comfortable stay...housekeeping very slow ..bathroom ceiling leaked each time hot water heater turned on...breakfast selection and quality was reasonable....no service for omelette or fried eggs....but I guess you get what you pay for!
In order to be fair, I would say that from my own observation nothing is positive to be mentioned here about this hotel, but only the breakfast. Other things are far below the expected standards. This is not in fact, a 5 star hotel. The ranking is entirely misleading. Someone can easily witness that rubbish is almost in every corner of the hotel. As I have understood from the reception, recently only 7 people in the housekeeping serve this hotel compared to 40 in the past. One of the guests told me that the standard of this hotel in the past was excellent, but no idea why now it is far below expectations. In general, I do not recommend this hotel for the reasons stated above.
The hotel is quite close to Al Haram, it's only about 7 minutes walk. upon checking in we were promised a better room with one double bed but it never materialsed. The air in the room was stale when we checked in. Although there was a kettle in the room, there were no cups and when we asked for two we were told to pay $1.33 per cup. Left over food and rubbish bags left by guests outside their rooms were not removed regularly and were removed next day. Hotel corridors were not clean and house keeping were not available at night, their line was either busy or they did not answer when we got through. Internet wi fi was only available in lobby. Breakfast was simply terrible!
Location, Food very good, Clean Bathrooms Weak water, no king size beds, Rooms not Vacuumed, Car parking not guaranteed.
Rooms are ok. Well furnished. spacious. Veryt badly managed hotel. We waited nearly one hour to have the room. No housekeeping during 4 days. No parking was given. Food is not good.
Check in time was 1400, we arrived at 1500, but the rooms were not ready, and when we got the rooms at 1600, they looked filthy and smelled very bad. When we cmplained to the management, they gave us tow other rooms, but again they were unclean and smelled very very bad, the carpet seemed never been cleaned for ages. For two days, no cleaning services, and we could see uncollected garbage arrond the doors of the guests rooms and along the corridors and halls. We are totally unsatisfied, totally unhappy.
Location good. Friendly management. Smart modern new rooms. Breakfast service good. House keeping poor. Only cleaned room twice during 6 night stay - even after making several calls to housekeeping. Most staff were friendly but encountered 2 very rude staff members - one a porter and the other from housekeeping. Been to medina more than 15 times never previously encountered such rude staff.
The location is good for the family which is just near the women's gate & food court Location
its a fair hotel but needs lots of improvment during high season to be able to satisfy the customers check in
Th ehotel charged me base on the date rate plus 15% more. This is different than the rate I booked.
Excelent location Slow response from housekeeping & careless.
thay should provide iron with stand for each room very noizy with a lot of kids in the floor
primarely, the location, the sonor isolation and the reception services with the hotel fares, you should provide guests with free wireless.
Close to alharam . No car parking very crowded restaurant during breakfast .reception is very small very expensive the carpet is not clean
Location is very good. Just steps away from Haram. Hotel is not clean enough. Rooms Lobby's smell bad, But room was okay. And you have to have some Cash on hand to pay the in room services.
Hair dryer was broken and not repaired for the entire duration of my stay. Otherwise, it was excellent.
The breakfast was good, the rooms was perfect and very thing was very good, this was my third time in this hotel. I like the hotel very much, nice clean perfect price..
The hotel became old and service of staff was very bad to slow, room was not ready while my arrival and need to wait for half an hour for that. The location is good near from Haram and markets. Breakfast is too poor of varieties
Th front desk staff were very friendly, I asked for 2 side-by-side rooms because of my kids, it took them about 10 minutes to find such rooms, which really was nice of them, considering the hotel was loaded. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the bathrooms were just a little old, kind of a 4-star bathroom, but it was very acceptable. The hotel is about 3-5 minutes away from the Mosque walking. The Breakfast was nice, and I really enjoyed the free high speed Internet in every room, and they had hotel parking, which is very important because its hard to find a parking anywhere. Overall, I recommend this hotel, a great bargain for your money. The bathrooms do not present a 5-star hotel bathroom, it can be a little better.
location Not what I expected out of Intercontinental hotel!!! Refrigerator was not working! room reminded me of Comfort Inn. The buffet was so sad and poor, the quality was mediocre. Fruit on the buffet was oranges and few apples. The most disappointing experience I have ever had.Concierge had no clue at all. Reservation promised a room with a view, got the worst view ever imagined. Simply it was disaster. Will never stay at Intercontinental again.
It was very nice, this was my second time in this hotel, room service was good, cleaness too.. if you ask for sure I will recomend this hotel as one of the best in madinah.. I came for hajj 2010 also I was here in ramadan too.. Nothing at all..
Fairly good accomodation with Breakfast Two lifts are not sufficient for the movement of the guests and there is long wait. The A/C was not functioning properly.
breakfast was perfect ,people professional, location is reasonable nothing
Its worngly mentioned 5star at booking.com, actually its 4 star by all means and keeping in mind the price they are offering, its absolutely ok. Value for money, calm & quite, Ok breakfast and lots of window shopping & dine in options around. Staff was very good and professional. Everything was ok.
the location, the structure, everything was simply the best. everything was excellent except for the elevators. during Haj and Ramadan its overcrowded otherwise its not a complain. please mention the name of the city correctly. it's Riyadh and not Rihadh as mentioned by you.
The staff was very attentive and extremely helpful when we were looking for a tour guide to show us sites in Medina beyond the Prophet's Mosque. They are going through rennovations right now (September 2011) but the room was a bit dustier than I had expected it to be for the cost. The other hotel patrons tend to be noisy at odd hours, but that is not something the staff can necessarily control either.
The manager went out of his way to make my departure arraignments easy. Help was given for local travel. Shops were very nearby. Restaurants in the hotel made meals very easy.
The room was spacious. The hotel is 2 min walk to the Haram I had a view of the shopping center roof top
hotel was clean , room is very good , near from haram , resturant is good enough , i realy enjoyed there with my wife the front desk guys are not profissionals , service not very good
The location of the hotel The Cleanliness of the room. It seems that the room has not been vacumed for a long time. It took me 6 hours and 4 calls to house keeping to bring extra pilows. The hotel needs to be remodled and the hotel carpet needs to be changed. The hotel can pass for 3* at the most.
The lication is near to the hloy haram and that is the most important and the second thing is the hotel is very nice good luck All ok nothing not good good luck
nothing The hotel is extremely dirty; we found the clothes of the previous guests under the bed. the smell of the room is like a dead rat. The bathroom is dirty with black spots in the tub. You can find better hotels with half the price in the same area. I will be writing to Movenpick headquarter and complain.
Breakfast hotel staff response time
size of the room and beds
Staff very cooperative. away from the hustle & bustle.elevator facility remarkable. food tasty. Room lock functioning not up to mark. no newspaper provided.
distance to the haram everything
they need to improve the hotel cleanness & its location
the location, the offer, the resturant, the enterance/exit, the design, the staff room card keys always do not work and we had to to the reception to reprogram it.
During my short stay at you hotel I feel relax and comfortable and will visit again in near future. Good service overall and very close to Haram.
I was checked in a smoking room while I specifically asked for a non smoking room. Delayed check in process by 30min.
Food, restaurant services and staff. No lobby (!) in a Hilton. Poor room amenities.
I had a booking for 2 days and my flight was cancelled so I arrived on the second day of my booking. The front desk was very unhelpful even though I paid for two days he said that he can't give me my second day of stay because I arrived at 6 pm and check in is at 3 pm. The whole thing was crazy I had to fight for my stay for one night even though It was did pay for my stay for that exact night.
near from the holly mousque
Room and location
The breakfast had a good variety and menu did not repeat.location was very good as close to womens entrance and stores...bathroom had a standing showerwith good water pressure and no pooling water!!!.much better value than darul hijra and muna al kareem Rooms and bathroom very small and could be cleaner. ..also staff could be more friendly
