Able to relax very easily, and very close to shops, resturants bars and trams Not been able to check into my room any earlier than 2pm.
I had a conference at The Sebel, Albert Park and that is why I chose to stay at this location. Our room was facing the road, and thus heard every sound from all the bar fights, to screaming mates etc... until 3am.
location, size of rooom, fair bit of wind noise (it was quite windy outside though)
This hotel is in a great location. Room was clean and staff were helpful. TV was pretty crappy. Heater in the living room wasnt working (and it was cold - lucky the heaters in the bedroom worked a treat). Needs a bigger sofa, there was a 2 seater sofa for a 2 bed apartment that sleeps 4. There was no plug for the bath. The gym was pretty crappy - wouldnt list it as a feature.
great location ,staff very helpfull, room very large, overall great pace to stay
Close to business areas, efficient and help staff
that we could open the sliding door to balcony for fresh air, comfy bed, clean, friendly staff
Loved its location central to cafes, shopping, Beach & easy to get to city via tram. Staff very friendly and helpful. Apartments well equiped and comfortable.
very comfortable room with the facility to make breakfast was handy
The Duty Manager (sorry I forget his name) His service was excellent, He helped us get another couple of tickets to the melbourne cup on our way out of the door, nothing was a problem for him. Thank you! One thing we couldnt believe was the fact I got an email 2 days prior to our visit stating our booking would be cancelled due to incorrect credit card details, when I called the Medina they gave me a completly different credit card in from the one we provided. We felt they were trying to cancel our booking due to them not updating their rates during Melbourne Cup period. It was very lucky that we checked our email as it would have been cancelled. Maybe a phone call would have been nice considering it was provided. I spoke to one of my work mates who used to work for a Medina in Melbourne and said Medina in St Kilda was a dodgy one. It was just by chance we checked our email otherwise there would have been no accomm for us.
Position in St Kilda and proximity to St Kilda Beach and tram system the place was in chaos being renovated; I do not like the need for number password to get into the hotel and then through a second door there should be someone there at all times for security reasons if nothing else (there were vagrants camped outside the front door half the time
The location, right in the heart of Fitzroy street is fantastic - very convenient for bars, restaurants, the beach and public transport. It was a little noisy, making it difficult to get an uninterrupted night's sleep.
It was close to the venue we were attending that evening and were able to walk. It's in Fitzroy Street, St Kilda and it was far too noisy until the wee small hours of the morning. Then at daylight you had the roadsweepers and garbage collectors.
Looked after me with carparking. Was close to my seminar. Good comfortable bed. No heating as the reverse airconditioner did not work and it was a cold night. It was noisey outside all night becauase it is close to the restaurants and main street.
Location. Cost. Service
Helpful receptionstaff Handy location priced to suit the facilities offered Road noise especially the trams
Very Basic, very noisy, hard to get a good sleep. However it has a great location on main street in St.Kilda and east tram access to city centre. Staff were very helpful. Very Noisy, rooms were nothing like pictures on website. Booked a twin room but stayed in double.
Convenience Difficult to find
The close proximity to transport and the helpful staff As a solo traveller hotels are just too expensive
The fact that it has an indipendent entrance and the outside tbl to smoke, plus it has everything one would need. The TVt is quite small and it wasn't easy to understand how to make use of the free internet...perhaps the password for the free WI-FI would have been better.
Proximaty to the tram service into CBD Noisy road outside apartment and alot of people shouting during the night and early morning
Big comfortable room with ample space for clothes./ Good couch; TV + DVD player. Quiet, and good bathroom - will most certainly go again. Nothing I did not like.
The room was very clean and all usual hotel facilities were available for this type of accommodation. The room was very quit and private and the surroundings well kept. Definately a new mattress, mine was very tired and lumpy but ok to sleep on for a short stay.
The covered balcony made what would otherwise have seemed quite a small room seem lighter and more spacious THe apartments were not staffed, so there was none on hand to deal with problems. A minor point, but there was only one cereal bowl, so one of us had to use a much larger bowl
I loved the fact that everything we wanted to do was in the one spot or within close vicinity. There's an awesome restaurant onsite, a day spa, pubs down below, funky cafe next door, a pool etc. We had stayed at the Prince once before and appreciate the design of the hotel and the excellent service from staff. N/A
We enjoyed that the hotel was small and personable...Love the way the hotel has been re-furbished but has kept the old feel of the hotel.
The process was easy, food from Circa was amazing We had a reservation at the circa for 8.30, and it wasn't until I went to speak to the hostess at 9.30 that we got seated - she forgot about us. Also, we ordered the chocolate fondue for desert and it was cold (which is obviously not how you expect a fondue)
The general ambience of the hotel was amazing with little touches every where. The food in the resturant was just perfect, perfect size perfect taste and perfectly cooked...
In general the staff were excellent. Fantastic food. One very unhelpful evening receptionist (when we asked for milk for our room, which is not routinely in the room as they provide fresh milk and direct you to ask for it at reception when required, he suggested we go and by some at the corner store - this is a 4 star hotel)
The Prince is a unique hotel because of its position and vibe. It is a genuine 'boutique' hotel, and offers a more home like experience than a large chain hotel of similar standard. There is something undeniably 'cool' about the Prince, reflected in the staff, the food, the rooms and the decor. Noise can still be an issue at the Prince, but it goes with the territory.
Great food, great location, luxurious rooms, thanks for the upgrade on arrival
Excellent location. Rooms at the front get extreme noise from the pub. We had the worst night we have ever experienced (music til 5:30!)Request a back room.Back rooms do not get the noise from the pub.
It was clean and the station was beside so it was easy to use it and the staff were freiendly. No
Excellent staff, really good service, fantastic location and not too precious or pretentious. It was a bit noisy, but I think that was because there was a wedding on at the same time as we were there, nothing major though.
that it was in an excellent location . we payed for a studio apartment and the room we had was not in my mind a studio apartment it was to me a hotel room . also the refresh of the room each day was very sloppy the bed was not made up very nicely at all .i dont believe that our room was worth the money we payed for but the location was great ..
Staff support when canceling reservation Lack of double glazing or any form of sound insulation between rooms meant that the 24hr MacDonalds and noise from other guests (including women coming in and out with different men!) made my one night stay unbearable.
We had a wedding nearby- location was great! no
Clean room, closeness to beach no clean towels, noise from mc donalds, no toilet to use on arrival.
Convenience to the Palais Theatre in StKilda & Secure Parking
not complicated, clean room with all extras provided.
The room is nice, big and clean. Easy Stay Apartments has several locations in the area. This was not clear while booking the room. The adress shown on booking.com is the adress of the reception where you check in. There are also some rooms there, but not all. The staff was not very forthcoming with information on the othet location. When the ordered cab took very long to pick me up, they did not say or do anything, they just kept,me sitting there.
close proximity to the shops and resturants. sound from the street travels through the walls and we were unable to get to sleep - until 4pm in the morning.
Rate, location, area, climate control... Shower temperature wouldn't stay stable for a minute, swinging drastically.
the location the windows need to be doubled glazed as the noise from mcdonalds and the club next to it are unbearable. i hardly slept and it sounded like the people could have been in our room it was that loud. this was terrible and affected the stay
